Maharashtra secretariat employees go on strike as MLA manhandles deputy secretary

Employees of the Maharashtra secretariat have gone on a flash strike after an MLA, manhandled a deputy secretary on Tuesday.

A police complaint has been filed against the independent MLA, Bacchu Kadu, who is known to have roughed up employees in the past too.

The Maharashtra State Mantralya Organisation has demanded that action be taken under the Atrocities Act against the MLA and he should disqualified.

The organisation has said that till action is taken, employees will not resume work.
