A man working for an Andheri-based private finance company has been booked for allegedly molesting a 24-year-old employee working in the same firm during an office outing in Kondeshwar, Badlapur.
According to police, the complainant, the accused, and seven of their colleagues made a trekking-cum-picnic plan early this month for Kondeshwar in Badlapur (east).
Police said the group decided to go to one of the colleague’s flat in Badlapur on Saturday night, spend a night there and then go for trekking the next day.

As per plan, a group of nine people, including three women, went to the Badlapur flat on July 6, stayed there overnight and left for trekking next day morning. The complainant didn’t go as she was feeling very sleepy. The accused too didn’t go for trekking, said police.
According to police, the accused molested the woman when she was asleep. When she woke up, she noticed the accused taking advantage of her and molesting her. She took her bag and left the flat. She called her other colleagues and narrated them everything.
The woman then filed a complaint against the accused at her office’s committee for Prevention of Sexual Harrasment at the Workplace. Since the incident took place outside the office premises, she was advised to file a police complaint.
The complainant approached Sahar police station and filed a complaint on Saturday.
