Jitendra Avhad,an NCP MLA from Thane district, slammed the state government in which his party is an alliance partner, for persecuting Muslims.

Speaking at a Muslim meet organised by ANHAD,Avhad called for a ban on Hindu outfits like Sanatan Sanstha and Abhinav Bharat . He claimed that the government was fully aware of the terror activities of Hindu outfits but was not doing anything. “Why is the state government not banning the Sanatan Sanstha,Abhinav Bharat,“I have made this demand on the floor of the House two years ago,” he said, pointing out despite circumstantial evidences, the leaders of Hindu outfits had not been called by the police for interrogation. He said after the Nanded blast in 2003 and the Malegaon blast in 2006,he had sensed the involvement of Hindu outfits and had informed the government, which did not act.

“This is not just a fight for justice but a political fight,” he said,“The RSS has men everwhere. Their plan is to capture the entire political system.”

He pointed out the need to find out how these outfits procured the RDX used in the blasts, when the Indian Army had stated that not even a gram of RDX had been stolen from their inventory.
