Neeraj Grover murder: Before day of judgment,pressure gets to Susairaj

Veronica was seen reprimanding Susairaj for the outburst,which appeared to rapidly turn into an argument,distressing the starlet further. Soon,Veronica fell unconscious. The emotional outburst continued for a while outside the courtroom during lunch break before Susairaj regained her usual composure.

Judge Chandwani,who has been hearing the case since the beginning and has heard the depositions of 66 witnesses,is at present going through each statement,accepting and rejecting the evidences and attributing role to each of the accused.

While both Susairaj and her Naval officer fiance and co-accused,Emile Jerome,listened attentively to the judge,Susairaj’s mother and sister and Jerome’s father hovered around the courtroom nervously.

Soon after the proceedings,the family met the two,trying to gather what the possible outcome would be. “The family is very concerned,” said Jerome’s lawyer,Abdul Wahab Khan.

The court has been dictating the judgment since Monday. This is expected to go on for the next two days before the fate of the two accused is decided.

According to the prosecution,Susairaj and Jerome killed Grover on May 7,2008,and then chopped the body into pieces before disposing it of in the jungles in Thane district.

The prosecution claimed the two conspired and killed Grover,while they pleaded innocence and passed the blame to each other.
