Meanwhile, numerous right-wing groups have demanded that organisers of the protest meet, the Raza Academy,be banned. Among those at the forefront of the demand are the Sanatan Sanstha and the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.

Members of the organisations said,Raza Academy had made a habit of staging protest about events outside India including protests about incidents in Iraq and Israel.

While demanding prosecution of the organisers of the Azad Maidan protest under The Religious Institutions (prevention) of Misuse Act,1988,the organisations also demanded that investigations to be handed over to SIT and Central Agencies.

The group included many right-wing Hindu and Sikh Organisations and was presided by Advocate Sanjeev Punalekar,Leader of National Hindu Legal Practitioners Conference. He and other speakers condemned the “inaction” of the Government. Punalekar said,“We will send our demands to the Chief Minister and Prime Minister’s Office. When we went to Azad Maidan Police station to file a petition, they rejected it and hence we will take further action. These trouble-making organisations should be charged for sedition.”
