Close on the heels of one of the biggest bi-annual fashion weeks last month, comes a first-of-its-kind event that reaches out directly to the buyers. The Myntra Fashion Weekend (MWF), to be held from October 3 to 5 at Palladium Hotel, will see designers and brands exhibiting their merchandise, that can then be snagged by interested buyers at the same venue.

A popular concept abroad, a fashion weekend of this sort will be a first in India. The idea of MWF is to showcase ‘wearable’ clothes that will be coveted by everyday consumers. The event will see fashion shows by designers such as Pria Kataaria Puri, Raakesh Agarvwal, Karishma Shahani of [Ka] [Sha], Yogesh Chaudhary of Surendri and high-street brands such as Vero Moda and Little Mistress. Masaba, Monica Dogra and Shivan & Narresh will be showing their first runway collections for Stylista. All the collections have been specially curated for the event and will be available at specific stalls in the exhibition area after the shows.

The exhibition will also host stalls by over 70 designers and brands, spanning women’s wear, home decor children’s clothing and accessories. Make-up services, sartorial tips, gourmet food stalls and live performances will sum up the three-day experience. The tickets to the event are priced at Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 per day.
