Students heaved a sigh of relief on Monday after the first cut-off list for admission to degree courses showed a rise by only one to three per cent. The rise in the cut-off was mainly seen in professional courses with more students opting for them.

Kavita Rege, principal of Sathaye College, said,“There is a very marginal rise in the cut offs. However, this year,I have noticed a rise in number of students who have filled up forms for B.Sc IT. In the past few years,I have also seen a gradual change in the trend of students opting for B.Com regular courses. Most of the students now prefer B.Com in Accounting and Finance,BFM,BBI etc.”

Manju Nichani,Principal of KC college,said,“Cut-off marks in our college are more or less the same as last year. As usual, all the seats for BCom have been taken by our in house students.”
