Mumbai and Delhi feature in Swedish House Mafias last tour.
They teased their fans for days, releasing pictures of the three dots that signified their One Last Tour,in various cities all over the world. The trio of Swedish house DJs Axwell,Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso, known together as Swedish House Mafia, finally announced their tour dates on Monday evening. It was in June that the supergroup announced that they planned to disband after one final tour together, and ever since, rumours suggested that this tour would include a stop in India. This was confirmed with the announcement of their schedule, which begins on November 16 at the World Trade Centre in Dubai.
The three DJs,who are individually among the biggest names in the world of electronic dance music (EDM),came together in 2008. They released their first single,One,under the name Swedish House Mafia in 2010. Since then, nearly every single they have released together has been a hit and seen them tour and sell out some of the biggest venues in the world.
While Axwell has played in India before at the EDM Festival Sunburn, whose promoters,Submerge, are bringing the band to India this time the other two never have. India was a strong contender on our final touring calendar. In fact,Axwell has been asking us for years to visit India for its vibrancy when it comes to dance and music, and its great that Submerge has made this a reality for us, said Angello.
In addition to the tour, the band also announced that they will release their second compilation album, titled Until Now,on October 19. This 22-track album will serve as the official soundtrack and set list for the tour and include their latest single Dont You Worry Child and some unreleased songs.
