After the routine denotification of special judges in the session court,Special Judge Chitra Bedi was re-instated on Wednesday to continue hearing the multi-crore fake stamp paper case involving Abdul Karim Telgi. Bedi was de-notified on Tuesday along with several other judges hearing the CBI and Narcotics cases.

The move was initiated after defence advocate IP Bagaria approached the principal judge of the sessions court requesting for Bedi to continue hearing cases related to Telgi as the trial has reached its final stage where all the evidence has been brought on record.

A fortnight back,CEO of MIDC,Radheshyam Mopalwar, was made an accused in the case after the defence had moved an application citing discrepancies.
