‘Use technology for rural development’

Softexcel Consultancy Services managing director Achyut Godbole on Friday stressed utilisation of technology for raising living standards of the common man.

Godbole was speaking at the inauguration of the UGC-sponsored national conference on ‘Recent Trends in Commerce,Management and Information Technology’ at Dayanand College of Commerce,Latur. “As India is a nation of scholars,it is not just a dream to use computer for welfare of people in rural and remote areas… Instead of raising the living standards of people in urban areas,it is necessary to raise standards of the masses in rural India.” Dayanand Education Society president Laxmiraman Lahoti,BMCC principal Dr AB Deshpande,SRTM University dean Dr BB Jadhav were also present. Dayanand College of Commerce principal Dr Atmaram Palnitkar inaugurated the conference. Around 400 scholars from colleges and universities across the nation presented papers.
