Look who’s back playing with danger: none other than than the original Khiladi,Akshay Kumar. Back after taking a long sabbatical from his television stunt show,when Priyanka Chopra was adding to the thrill of the game with nothing but her boots and shorts,Akki now seems raring to return as the host of Khatron ke Khiladi – 4 on Colors. But the word on the street is that Akki reduced his fees substantially to get the show as other actors were contending for it too. You didn’t hear it from us people,our lips are sealed.

Star Plus’s Comedy Ka Maha Muqabla seems to have trouble holding on to the attention of its own contestants. Rashmi Desai,who is a team member of ‘Arshad ke Punters’,is often seen glued to her phone,even during the shoots. Even after various warnings from the production house,the newly-married Desai hasn’t mended her ways. Is it because she doesn’t find the show very funny? Well that gives her and the audience something in common.

Rebirth has always been a buzzword in Indian television. Whenever the writers lose their imagination,they always kill off somebody and then bring them back to life. Similarly,after killing off Arpita,played by Tanvi Bhatia, in Imagine’s Gunahon Ka Devta,rumours are flying around that she will be back in a new mean avatar to fight the bad guys. The timid Arpita will now have a new name and a “modern” look and character. Yawn. And here we thought that the era of rebirths was over and done with after the demise of the saas-bahu soaps.
