A three-day national conference on advanced research methodologies and with special referance to social transformation of the SCs,STs and other disadvantaged groups was organised by the Centre for Educational Studies,Indian Institute of Education,from April 5 to 7 at the J P Naik Centre for Education and Development.

Over 15 experts from across the country shared the knowledge and experiences with over 150 participants.

Dr Anand Karandikar inaugurated the conference and in his key note address emphasised that research problems should emerge from the wisdom of the masses and research in social science being value

oriented,should encourage open culture and interdisciplinary research.Professor Ram Takwale,chairperson,BoT of IIE delivered the keynote address. The conference also saw social scientists deliver discourses on various themes and research papers were presented by the participants.
