KRISHANG JOSHI secured All India Rank 3 in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), results of which were declared on Saturday. Speaking to The Indian Express, Joshi said, "I am feeling very good, I did not expect such a rank. Before NEET 2025, I was not even sure if I would get a rank under 100." "But after the exams this year, I was sure about getting a rank under 50.A month after the exams, after knowing other marks of various institutes, I thought I would get a rank under 10. Until yesterday, I thought I would get AIR 7 or 8, but today when I woke up, my faculty sir at Akash called me and congratulated me on getting AIR 3,"said Joshi who has been preparing for NEET from Pune for the last two years. With his eyes set on AIIMS Delhi, Joshi said it has always been his dream college where he intends to specialise in surgery. "I want to specialise in invasive surgery, as it is more challenging and intense," he said. Joshi’s NEET journey involved rigorous preparation, leaving little room for extracurriculars. Originally from Haldwani, Uttarakhand, his father’s transferable government job meant the family moved frequently. The family was settled in Goa when Joshi appeared for his Class 10 board exams. For his NEET coaching, he enrolled at Aakash Educational Services Limited and opted to shift to Pune owing to its proximity to Goa. He stayed in Viman Nagar during his two-year stay in the city, a period he says he thoroughly enjoyed.
