Finance consultant commits suicide

A Debt-ridden finance consultant and loan agent committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Erandwane on Saturday.

The deceased,Atin Dattaram Shinde (35),was a resident of Ganesh Apartment. Police have found a suicide note left by Shinde. According to sub inspector Arvind Karale of Kothrud police station,Shinde’s suicide note said that nobody should be held responsible for his death and that he was taking the extreme step as he was trapped in debt.

Police said Shinde hanged himself sometime between 10 am and 4 pm and his wife and son were away at her maternal home in Warje.

A friend,who repeatedly called on Shinde’s phone,informed his wife when he did not get any response. Shinde’s wife,who rushed home with other family members,found the house locked from inside. Around 4 pm,they managed to break the lock and entered the house and saw Shinde hanging from the ceiling.

Police are investigating about Shinde’s transactions and the details of his debt which drove to suicide.
