Free mock test for MT-CET aspirants at MS-CIT centres

Aspirants of the Maharashtra Technology-Common Entrance Test (MT-CET) 2013 can now take free mock tests at designated MS-CIT centres of the Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL).

Aspirants of the Maharashtra Technology-Common Entrance Test (MT-CET) 2013 can now take free mock tests at designated MS-CIT centres of the Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL).

To avail of the facility,all a candidate needs to do is locate the nearest Maharashtra State Certificate Information Technology (MS-CIT) centre,do the registration and book the desired time slot for a free practice test.

The MT-CET,which is now the combined entrance exam for admissions to engineering and pharmacy degree courses in Maharashtra,is scheduled to be held on May 16. With the sale of application kit with information

brochure getting over on April 4,students are now busy with final preparations for the exam.

“Our aim behind facilitating free mock tests for MT-CET 2013 is to make students confidently write their entrance exam and get admission in desired engineering and pharmacy colleges. We appeal to a large number of students to benefit from the facility being provided,” MKCL managing director Vivek Savant told Newsline.

The MKCL,which is promoted by the Department of Higher and Technical Education as a public limited company,has more than 5,200 MS-CIT centres set up by small and medium IT entrepreneurs and educational enterprises across Maharashtra and other parts the country.

Candidates can also locate the nearest MS-CIT centre by visiting official website of the MKCL (http://www.mkcl.org/en). The syllabus of all four subjects — mathematics,physics,chemistry and biology — for the MT-CET is also available on the website.

Pranav Pathak,a Class XII student who is preparing for MT-CET 2013,lauded the move. “The mock tests will ensure much-needed practice and assessment of studies before the actual examination. The MKCL initiative will definitely help us,” he said.

The MT-CET 2013 will replace the Maharashtra Health and Technology-Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET),which was till last year the combined entrance exam for admission to engineering,pharmacy and health sciences courses in Maharashtra.
