State Board sends notice after students writing exam independently complain of ‘hostile’ school admns.

Schools, external students, Class XII exam, State Board, Education State Board sends notice after students writing exam independently complain of ‘hostile’ school admns.

The Pune division of the State Board has sent a notice to all schools conducting the class XII Board examination that they must accept the forms from external students without troubling them or face consequences. This came in the wake of complaints from students who want to write independently but have to face a hostile school management that refuses to accept the forms.

The notice, which was issued earlier this month, says that for the class XII Board examinations that are held in September and October, the students are supposed to fill up their forms latest by February 10 without a late fee and by February 20 with a late fee. The external students have to fill up form number 17 to sit for the examinations. The students from outside the state, or within the state who have completed class X but are not associated with any school can write the Board examinations for class XII by filling form number 17 in the nearest higher secondary school.

“But it has come to our notice that many such schools are not following the orders, are refusing to accept form number 17 and are not giving proper guidance to these students. These schools should make sure that there is no educational loss for students by their actions. Cooperate with such students who come to your school and make sure the divisional board receives no complaint against your school,” says the notice.

The schools have also been asked to make sure that all the necessary submissions related to various subjects and languages, Viva examinations, the environmental studies curriculum and projects be taken from these students on time and that it is entirely the responsibility of the school to guide the students in these. The schools should also make sure that the required forms and documents are submitted to the divisional board on time, says the notice.
