The ongoing 10th edition of the Maharashtra Krida Inter IT at the Range Hills ground on Saturday saw iGATE beat Cybage 3-0 while on the other hand Amdocs beat SAS 2-0. In the first game that was played between iGATE and Cybage under overcast conditions Sourabh Kulkarni netted the first goal in the 15 th minute of the game.
While iGATE dominated proceedings right from the beginning they were unable to penetrate the Cybage defence. Kulkarni found the ball after a long overhead pass was intercepted by him he ran through and shot wide past the keeper into the back of the Cybage net.
Rallying through after the initial jolt Cybage managed to bring back the momentum in their game when they managed a collection of inspired shots on the iGATE goal to give their defence a few nervous moments but disaster struck soon thereafter when Ashish Magar was sent off for a foul and Tejas Sabade received a yellow card for diving. Ajay Sathe of iGATE took the ball after the defenders managed to lose it and struck it right past the hapless keeper. The victory was completed in the second half when Kulkarni got his second goal of the game in the 45 th minute another clean volley for which the Cybage keeper had no answers.
In the second interesting game of the day SAS played Amdocs at the same venue. While the game began in a moderate fashion with both the sides trading passes in the central mid-field Sudip Mukherjee of Amdocs who received a fine pass managed to break through the SAS defence and put the ball beyond the reach of the keeper. Shaunak Mukherjee completed the win for them in the 32 nd minute when he also converted a well received pass into a goal.
