Kitsch,a luxury brand store launches its third outlet in India at Koregaon Park Plaza,Pune.With the first outlet at Kala Ghoda,Mumbai and the second at DLF Emporio Mall New Delhi,the third outlet in Pune is built on the European concept of black and white interiors that bring out the cut,colour and silhouette of the merchandise of the brands from across the world. A starry affair
Model turned wine connoisseur,Shamita Singha was in town to host a wine appreciation session as the brand ambassador for Four Seasons Wine for the Expat Club of Pune at Le Meridian on October 17. Having completed a diploma from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust in London,Singha has also attended many short term workshops and seminars across Europe to study wine as a subject. What first started as a hobby has turned into a profession for me. Wine is the only alcoholic beverage I drink because it comes in such a variety of flavours, says Singha,who loves to buy wine for herself whenever she travels abroad. She gave a presentation on the various wines that are offered by the company she represents as well as a few quick insights on the subject. I don’t believe that wine and cheese make the best combinations,I personally think only sparkling wines go well with creamy cheese. A lot of thought and research has been put to food and wine paring,but it should be more of an experimental thing, she says.
The Cool Quotient
Actor Ashmit Patel is back with a new season of Superdude,a reality series aired on UTV Bindass. For this season he has the British-Asian model Sofia Hayat assisting him to mentor the 13 contestants on the show. The show is about getting 13 lucky guys to live together in a lavish Superdude Mansion. They will be trained in the art of approaching and impressing women while they compete with each other to win the coveted title of the Superdude, says Patel,who will be co-judging the show with popular television actress Madhura Naik. After extensive auditions across three cities Chandigarh,Delhi and Mumbai,the crew has short-listed the final 13 contestants,who will further be divided into two groups the good boys and the bad boys.
