"We are excited to collaborate with Shruti Marathe to reach more people with critical information regarding heart health," Dr P K Grant, managing trustee at Ruby Hall Clinic, said. (Express File Photo) The Ruby Hall Clinic on Friday announced its campaign for World Heart Day, which is observed on September 29 every year, with the inauguration of Code STEMI, underscoring the critical significance of rapid response in cases of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI).
Marathi actress Shruti Marathe has joined the campaign and will assist in the propagation of heart health awareness through the ‘Code Green’ initiative that will focus on creating awareness on recognizing and responding to signs of heart attacks promptly.
Heart disease statistics underscore the urgency of such initiatives. Heart attacks, such as CST Elevation Myocardial Infarction, is the leading cause of deaths worldwide, claiming approximately 17.9 million lives annually, said Dr Purvez Grant, chairman and managing trustee of Ruby Hall Clinic.
Code Green acts as a catalyst for transformation, leveraging cutting-edge medical innovation and technology to streamline emergency response mechanisms, thereby significantly improving the chances of survival and recovery for STEMI patients.
“We are excited to collaborate with Shruti Marathe to reach more people with critical information regarding heart health,” said Dr Grant.
