Shifting of CFC to godown will take time, say district officials

With the Class XII results declared early, the Citizen Facilitation Centre at the district collectorate has been inundated with applications for various certificates.

With the Class XII results declared early, the Citizen Facilitation Centre (CFC) at the district collectorate has been inundated with applications for various certificates. What has added to the load is the delay in launching the online system for disbursal of certificates.

“The system was supposed to be cleared by the government, but this was delayed because some officers were transferred and others yet to join. The transfers had also delayed the shifting of the CFC to the Shivajinagar godown. The system should be cleared by the month end,” said resident deputy collector Anil Pawar.

“With some counters still not ready and furniture yet to be brought in,there is a long way to go,” said an official.

“The collectorate has received many applications for the appointment of the additional deputy collector. The distribution of college and school certificates has begun from the 43 maha e-seva kendras,” Pawar said.

At present, applications, checking and submission is done at the godown, however, the certificates are distributed at the collectorate. The rush at the collectorate has been an issue every year and has been taken up several times.

Parents who have to wait in queues said that the situation is better this year with the 43 maha-e seva kendras. “We can apply at the kendras but the collectorate is preferred. This sees a lot of rush at CFC,” said Manik Joshi who was at the collectorate with his daughter for the domicile certificate.
