SSC Results

Neeraja Dixit,who scored 97.45 per cent in the SSC exam and Yanapure Pandhari,a visually-challenged student of Dr. Machave Blind School,who secured 78.73 per cent in Std X were felicitated by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

Neeraja Dixit,who scored 97.45 per cent in the SSC exam and Yanapure Pandhari,a visually-challenged student of Dr. Machave Blind School,who secured 78.73 per cent in Std X were felicitated by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

NCP Vidyarathi Congress Wing also gave Rs.11,000 to both the students. Yenapure credited his success to his parents,school and persistent hardwork. He wants to take up arts at the Fergusson College and wants to pursue Law for his graduation. Talking about her daughter’s success,Jayashri Milind Dixit said that she is delighted that her daughter has achieved something in her life. She added that Nerraja would take up Science and that hard work is the key to her success

Kashmiri students score well in Marathi

Students of Kashmiri origin from Sarhad School in Katraj,passed the SSC examinations with Marathi as their second language. The Sarhad group of schools,colleges and other educational institutions which aims at improving mutual understanding between different groups and cultures of the society,is proud the students who worked hard to conquer the language barrier. Javed Dhat,16,said,“I scored 60 marks in Marathi and I am planning to continue learning the language in junior college.” Mohammed Ilyas,16,and Zayed Sarfaraz,18,scored 50 and 46 in Marathi.

“Hindi was difficult for me to learn because I only spoke in Kasmiri,so Marathi was even tougher. Our friends helped us to learnt the local language and we picked up as much of it as we could and this helped our scores as well,” says Sarfaraz.

Asif Ali Dar scored 62 in the subject. “ I want to take up arts in the 11 th grade. I think Marathi is very different from Kashmiri but my efforts to learn the language paid off,”says Dar.
