Sooshma,the home decor store on Baner Road is launching a new gallery on its ground floor on September 21. The first exhibition will feature a collection of designer ethnic wear from the brand,Hauz Khaus from Mumbai. The designer collection will be accompanied by Collage,a corporate gifts brand by Chetna Shash from Pune. The exhibition will span across two days from Friday to Saturday,from 11.30 am to 8 pm. This is the first time that Sherry Kohli of Hauz Khas is bringing the brand to Pune. Kamakshi Madan,the owner of Sooshma,hopes to host art and jewellery exhibitions in the future as well.

Excellence in dramatics

Marking the 49th anniversary of Purushottam Karandak,the most anticipated annual Inter-collegiate drama competition,Muktaayan along with Harshal Ukhande have organised a programme to stage the three best plays put up by the winning colleges on September 22,9pm onwards at Bharat Natya Mandir. Drama enthusiasts from S P College will be opening the programme with a performance of Pranimatra,a play written by Pranav Bapat and directed by Kshitish Date. This will be followed by staging of Bagulbua by Apoorva Bardapurkar and directed by Apoorva Tapas from Cummins College. The program will end with College of Engineering (COEP) presenting Rang Maza Vegala,directed by Sudarshan Chavan and written by Vinit Bhat and Ramchandra Khatmode.
