Jitendra Mhaske, watchman of a private plot in Wade Bolhai village, six km ahead of Wagholi, was having a bath when he heard the loud noise of an aircraft over his hut. By the time he rushed out of the bathroom,he could see an aircraft coming down with great speed. Within seconds, the walls of his small house shattered with an blast-like sound. The wreckage caught fire with the parts of the plane spread all over.
Moments after the crash, two pilots Wing Commander Suhail and Flight Lieutenant Nautiyal landed in Hargude Vasti,a small hamlet of 10 huts.
Hearing the noise,we came out. The two pilots could be seen high up in the air. One of them was injured as his parachute got entangled on an electricity pole. We gave them water and they rested on beds outside our basti. Later a helicopter came and picked them up, said Mahesh Hargude, villager.
The village, which was celebrating urus a local festival was not hit because of the quick and apt decision of the pilots,IAF officials said.

The front of the plane was in flames, said Sanjay Kamble,a farmer of the village Wade Bolhai.
The wreckage of the plane was spread over 500 metres with broken components lying on the road and the farm adjacent to the site where it crashed. An IAF team was seen collecting the parts and transporting them in IAF trucks.
