BJP expels 7 rebels, 3 of them ex-MLAs

Among the seven leaders expelled by the party, three are former MLAs.

Faced with a rebellion at seven Assembly seats, the BJP on Monday expelled seven party leaders, including former MLA B K Chauhan, who had entered the contest from Chamba, and Praveen Sharma, a loyalist of senior leader Shanta Kumar who was contesting from Palampur — a Assembly constituency where party has given ticket to Indu Goswami, the state Mahila Morcha president.

Among the seven leaders expelled by the party, three are former MLAs. The list includes B K Chauhan, Praveen Sharma , Hridey Ram — all former MLAs, and party leaders Lalit Thakur (Bharmaur), D K Soni (Chamba) and Hans Raj Dhiman (Jaswan Pragpur), Baldev Thakur (Fatehpur).
