A gastronomical experience based on Ayurveda has been organised on the sidelines of the Indian Museum Expo at Pragati Maidan by the Ministry of Culture. Before being served the ‘thali’ or set meal, one is asked to fill in a questionnaire to ascertain the vata (wind), pitta (fire) and kapha (water) doshas of the person. Being steered by several reputed chefs, the feature might turn into a ‘museum of food’ at one of the government-run museums in Delhi — the National Gallery of Modern Art or the National Museum. This would be a part of the government’s concerted approach to promote traditional Indian wellness practices, that include Ayurveda.
