Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) 2022: The Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) released today revealed that almost all (98.4%) students in the age bracket of 6-14 years are now enrolled in schools. This national survey sheds light on learning outcomes in schools and is led by the Pratham Foundation. It was last conducted at this scale in 2018, so this marks the return of the survey after four years. In ASER 2022, around 7 lakh candidates from 19,060 schools in 616 districts were surveyed to calculate the learning outcomes post pandemic on school children. The report reveals that there has been an improvement in enrollment levels of children in the age bracket of 6 to 14 years have gone from 96.6 per cent in 2010 to 96.7 per cent in 2014 and 97.2 per cent in 2018 to 98.4 per cent in 2022. An increase of 7.3 percentage points in government school enrollment in the period 2018 to 2022. The report also shows a surge in students attending tuition classes. Between 2018 and 2022, in all states, there is an increase in the proportion of children who attend tuition classes. The exceptions are Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Tripura
