Assam SEBA HSLC Class 10th Result 2024 declared; 75.7% pass percentage recorded

Assam HSLC Class 10th Result 2024 OUT: The Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) on April 20 declared the HSLC results at their official websites at 10:30 am. HSLC students can check their results at resultsassam.nic.in.

As per the official data, the overall pass percentage for HSLC 2024 is 75.7 per cent. The total percentage was an improvement over the last two years, with the pass percentages in 2022 and 2023 being 56.4 per cent and 72.6 per cent respectively.

This time, transgender category students have outshined male and female candidates. The overall pass percentage of transgender category students is 80 per cent, while male students scored 77.3 per cent and female candidates scored 74.4 per cent.

Anurag Doloi emerged as the topper with 593 marks, followed by Jharna Saikia with 590 marks. The third rank is jointly held by Manash Pratim Saikia, Bedanta Choudhury and Devashree Kashyap who scored 588 marks.

This year, the HSLC exams were conducted from February 16 to March 4, and the result has been announced within 45 days of completion of exams. A total of 425966 students applied for the exams, of which 6888 were absent, 361 have been withheld and 61 have been expelled.

A total of 419078 candidates appeared for the exams, out of which 187904 students were from the male category, 231164 from female category and 10 from the transgender category.

This time, 6392 students have secured a spot in the distinction category, i.e. 85 per cent and above. Additionally, a total of 20552 students have been featured in the STAR mark holder category (75 per cent to 84.99 per cent). This takes the total of first division to 105873 students.

A total of 150764 students have gotten second division and 60680 students got third division. Total letter mark holders are 193159 students.

In district-wise performance, Chirang district has performed the best with 91.2 per cent, followed by Nalbari with 88.1 per cent and Baksa with 86.9 per cent. Udalguri district recorded the lowest pass percentage of 60.9 per cent.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma congratulated those who cleared the exam, while urging those who did not fare as expected to continue working harder. “Congratulations to all my young friends who have successfully passed their HSLC exam this year. I wish you all the best for a bright future ahead,” he wrote on X.

“For those who aren’t happy with the results, I want to tell them – one exam is NEVER a make or break exam. Life will always give you several more chances. Identify the numerous talents you are bestowed with and keep working hard! You will go places,” Sarma added.
