In 2024, the overall pass percentage across all streams rose to 87.21 per cent. The pass rates for individual streams were 87.80 per cent in science, 86.15 per cent in arts, 94.88 per cent in commerce, and 85.38 per cent in vocational studies.
In 2023, the overall pass percentage for Inter stood at 83.70 per cent, marking a three per cent increase from 2022’s 80.15 per cent. In 2021, the pass rate was 78.04 per cent, reflecting a decline from 2020’s 80.44 per cent. Prior to this, the pass percentage had not consistently surpassed 80 per cent. In 2019, it was recorded at 79.76 per cent, while in 2018, it was significantly lower at 52.95 per cent. The trend over the years clearly indicates a steady increase in the pass percentage.

Students securing the first position in BSEB board exams (Class 10 & 12) will receive a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh, an increase from the previous Rs 1 lakh.

Students achieving the second position will be awarded Rs 1.5 lakh, which is double the earlier amount of Rs 75,000.

BSEB Bihar Board Inter Class 12 Fourth to Tenth Rank
Intermediate (Class 12) students in the rank bracket will be awarded Rs 30,000, an increase from Rs 15,000. In addition to cash prizes, top-ranking students will also be awarded a laptop, a certificate, and a medal.
