The Bihar Board Class 10 result date and time is today, March 31 at 1:30 pm. 

The BSEB matric result scorecard will be available at results.biharboardonline.com and biharboardonline.gov.in. The result along with the pass percentage and toppers will first be announced in a press conference and then the link to download soft copies of scorecards will be made live at the official websites.

In Class 10 board exams last year, as many as 16,10,657 students appeared for the matric exam, out of which 8,19,737 were girl students and 7,90,920 were boys. A total of 4,74,615 (2,73,933 boys and 2,00,682) obtained the first division, as many as 5,11,623 students got second division (2,49,311 boys and 2,62,312 girls), and 2,99,518 students got third division. The overall pass percentage last year recorded by Class 10 was 81.04 per cent.

In a recent development by the Bihar government, intermediate education in all three streams — arts, science and commerce will now be imparted only in higher secondary (HS) schools from the new session. The students who qualify Class 10 this year will have to get themselves enrolled in HS schools for Class 11 and Class 12.

As per a BSEB spokesperson, the Bihar board result will be declared by March 31. However, there is no official confirmation on the BSEB Class 10 result date and time. Generally, the BSEB official social media handle announces the Bihar board result date and time in advance.

The top 10 BSEB Matric rank holders will get awards as well. While the rank 1 will get Rs 1 lakh, one laptop, 1 kindle e-book reader, the second rank holders will get Rs 75,000, 1 laptop, one Kindle e-book reader. The third rank holders will get Rs 50,000, one laptop and kindle e-book reader and 4th to 10th rank will get Rs 10,000, one laptop, one kindle.

The BSEB has not yet announced Bihar board Class 10 result date and time. According to a BSEB spokesperson, the BSEB matric 2024 result will be announced on March 31.

The total marks for all subjects in Bihar Board 10th Exam 2024 are 500. Students scoring 300 marks and above (in total) will be awarded the 1st division.

To pass the Bihar Board Class 10 matric examination, students must score at least 33 marks in each subject. The aggregate marks should be at least 150 according to the BSEB matric marking scheme.

Last year, BSEB held the Class 10 matric exams between February 14 and February 22 and the Bihar board Matric results were declared on March 31.

This year, a total of 16,94,781 students appeared for the Class 10 BSEB matric exam. Of them, 8,72,194 are girl students and 8,22,587 are boy students. The exams were held in over 1,500 exam centres across the state.

BSEB on March 11 had released the Class 10 matric official answer keys for the multiple choice questions (MCQs). Students were also able to challenge the Class 10 answer key by March 14. The BSEB result scheduled to be released by March 31, will be announced considering the challenges made by the students in the answer key.

BSEB expelled several students on the first day of the matric exam this year. It also apprehended 33 persons impersonating students in the Bihar board Class 10 exams. While as many as seven impersonators were caught in the Nalanda district, six were caught in Gopalganj, and five in Jahanabad. Four each were caught impersonating in Bhojpur and Navada. While two each were found in Saran and Saharsa, one each was caught in Jamui, Arwal and Buxar districts.

In 2023 BSEB matric results, as many as 16,10,657 students appeared for the exam, out of which 8,19,737 were girl students and 7,90,920 were boy students. In 2022 matric exams, however, when out of a total 16,11,099 students, there were more boys (8,20,179) and less girls (7,90,920).

To pass the Bihar Board Class 10 matric examination, students must score at least 33 marks in each subject. The aggregate marks should be at least 150.

According to BSEB data, the overall pass percentage of Bihar Class 10 students last year was 81.04 per cent. A total of 16,10,657 students appeared in the BSEB matric exams last year.

The Bihar board matric exams were conducted in offline mode from February 15 to February 23. The exams were conducted in two shifts on all the exam days. While 50 per cent of the exam was MCQ based, the remaining 50 per cent comprised of descriptive type questions.

If the students are not happy with the BSEB matric result, they can apply for scrutiny and get their results rechecked. Students can also appear for supplementary exam to improve their marks. The details of BSEB result scrutiny and Bihar board compartment exam date will be announced along with the declaration of the BSEB Class 10 result date.

The official website to check BSEB matric 2024 results is results.biharboardonline.com. To access and download the Bihar board Class 10 result, students will have to use their roll numbers and date of birth on the BSEB login window.

BSEB has not yet made any official announcement on the Bihar board Matric 2024 result date and time. However, a senior official has confirmed to indianexpress.com that the BSEB Class 10th result will be announced by March 31.

As of now, the Bihar Board has not made an official announcement about the release of BSEB Matric result. However, a senior official has confirmed to indianexpress.com that the BSEB 10th result will be declared by March 31, 2024. 

Last year, Md Rumman Ashraf was the topper with 97.8% (489 marks out of 500). Namrata Kumari and Gyani Anupama got the second rank. Sanju Kumari, Bhavna Kumari and Jaynandan Kumar Pandit achieved the third rank. There were a total of 21 students who achieved top 5 ranks, out of which 10 are girl students.

Last year, a total of 3,279 candidates participated in the special examination, with 1,954 students successfully passing, resulting in a pass percentage of 59.59 percent. In the compartment exams, 68,353 candidates appeared, out of which 19,915 managed to pass, yielding a pass percentage of 29.14 percent.

Students were earlier invited to register for the 2025 matric exams. This year, the board has included eight new subjects/areas of study under vocational education— Security, Beautician, Tourism, Automobile, Retail Management, Electronics and H/W, Beauty and Wellness, Telecom and IT/ITes

BSEB on March 11 released the Class 10 official answer keys for the multiple choice questions. Candidates were given time till 5 pm of March 14 to raise challenges against the given answer key. The final result will be released on the basis of the suggestions that will be evaluated by a team of experts of Bihar Board.

In the Class 10 exams of last year, the highest scorer secured an impressive 489 out of 500 marks, translating to a pass percentgae percentage of 97.8. Following closely, the second and third position holders attained 486 marks (97.2%) and 484 marks respectively, showcasing commendable academic performance.

In 2021, the overall pass percentage witnessed a notable decline to 78.17 per cent, marking a significant drop from the 80.59 per cent recorded in 2020. This decline could be attributed to the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, with schools constantly shifting between online and offline modes of education. Many students encountered learning gaps during this period, potentially contributing to the decrease in pass rates.

-- Participants securing the 4th to 10th ranks were awarded Rs 10,000, a laptop, and a Kindle e-book reader.
