In 2023, over 16 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 board exams, and 13,05,203 students cleared the Bihar board matric exams, taking the overall pass percentage to 81.04 per cent. Md Yumman Asharf topped the exam with 97.8 per cent marks, i.e. he scored 479 marks out of 500. The second place was secured by two girl students - Gyani Anupama, Namrata Kumari. Sanju Kumari, Bhavna Kumari and Jayanandan Kumar Pandit shared the third spot. Six students from Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya Jamui are in the top 10.
