As many as 3,88,120 regular students registered for CGBSE High School Certificate Examination (10th) this year out of which 3,84,664 students, comprising 1,79,705 boys and 2,04,959 girls, sat for the exams. Results of 3,82,955 students were declared, with 2,61,177 (68.20 pc) passing, CGBSE chairperson said. The results of the remaining students in the two exams were withheld due to various reasons, he added.

A total of 2,62,492 candidates registered for CG Board class 10 exams out of which 2,60,521 appeared. Out of those who appeared for CG Board class 10 exams 1,24,370 were boys and 1,36.151 were girls. In CG Board class 10, 65,430 candidates (25.17 per cent) bagged the first division and 1,11,269 cleared the exam in second division which is the maximum number of candidates (42.80 per cent). In class 10, the overall pass percentage was 68.20, which is a slight increase from last year’s 68.04 per cent. In class 10, as many as 77.70 per cent girls passed outperforming boys by about 9 per cent while boys have scored 68.25 per cent.
A total of 2,03, 893 candidates passed in the Class 12 examination successfully this year marking a pass percentage of 78.43 per cent. This year, 2,59,944 candidates appeared in the examination.
This year, 1,904 candidates claered the vocational exams successfully, out of 1944 candidates registered. The pass percentage is 98.8 per cent which is higher than last year. It was 94.3 per cent in 2018

In the high school exams, 3.88 lakh students registered of which 3.84 lakh appeared. Among them, 1.79 lakh were boys and 2.04 lakh were girls. A total of 3.82 lakh students passed the exam. Overall, 2.61 lakh students passed taking the pass percentage to 68.20. Girls scored 70.77 while boys are at 65.25 per cent.
The pass percentage increases by 1.45 per cent from last year. This year 78.45 per cent students cleared the CG Board class 12 exam as compared to 77% last year. This is the fourth consecutive year when the pass percentage has increased.

In a major change last year, CGBSE removed Environment subject from Class 10 board examination. However, some chapters of environment were added to other subjects and this has been done to give importance to the subject.
In 2017, a total of 2,76,075 students registered for the examinations of these, 2,71,994 - 1,36,598 boys and 1,35, 396 girls - appeared. With 98.60 per cent, Dhavendra Kumar of the Govt Higher Secondary School at Pondi in Balod district secured the top position followed by Altamash Sabri (97.80 per cent) of the Bharat Mata School in Bilaspur district. The topper's father is a farmer.
Once the results are out, the CGBSE will issue mark sheet to all students who have passed the exam. Those who have flunked in it have to appear for the supplementary exams, dates of which is expected to be out today. Students are advised to keep their roll card handy to view their marks.
