Chhattisgarh CGBSE Class 10th, 12th Result 2020 HIGHLIGHTS: Girls outperform boys, topper score 100%

The state government has launched a helpline number for the students. The helpline services will be active from today and will continue till July 3. Students can call the helpline numbers for career counselling. 

As per a notification on results.cg.nic.in, both NIC and CGBSE will not take any responsiblity for any inadvertent error which may have crept in the results currently availabe on the website. The marksheet are just to provide immediate information to the examinees and these cannot be treated as original mark sheets. Original mark sheets have been issued by the Board separately.

Meanwhile, an important announcement has been made by the state government. The youth of the state would be provided with employment opportunities in the field of teaching and health under a government development program.

The results of CGBSE class 10 exam is now available at the websites- cgbse.nic.in, results.cg.nic.in. 

Around 6.5 lakh students who had appeared in both class 10th, 12th exams can now check results through the official websites, cgbse.nic.in, results.cg.nic.in 

Girls of Chhattisgarh have put up a better show as compared to its boys in both class 10 and 12. In the high school exam, 73.62 per cent of students who appeared for the exam have passed. In this, girls outperformed boys by scoring 76.28 per cent and of the total boys who appeared for class 10 exams, 70.53 could pass the boards. For class 12 too the image was similar as of the total 78.59 per cent students cleared the exam. Among girls, 82.02 per cent passed while 74.40 per cent of boys cleared the CGBSE class 12 exams, as per the data shared by the board

Mungeli has given toppers for both classes 10 and 12. The class 10 topper Pragya Kashyap from Mungeli district has topped the exam and got the highest possible marks. She scored a perfect 100 per cent marks by obtaining as many as 600 out of 600. In class 12 too Mungeria-lad Tikesh Vaishnav has emerged as the topper. He has scored 97.80 per cent marks. He got 489 marks out of 500.

Tikesh Vaishnav from Mungeli topped the class 12 exam with 489 marks. The second and the third rank secured by Shreya Agarwal with 485 marks and Tannu Yadav with 483 marks.

Pragya Kashyap has topped the High School Certificate (HSC) exam scoring 100 per cent marks. The girl from Mungeli got 600 out of 600. Prashansa Rajput and Bharti Yadav secured the second and third spot with 99.33 per cent and 98.67 per cent respectively.

The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) is the state board of the government of Chhattisgarh and was set up in Raipur on July 20, 2001. It started conducting the examinations from 2002. The board is divided into 18 zones for the promotion and development of secondary education in the state. The board aims to develop and promote secondary education in the state.

In 2015, the pass percentage was 71.12 per cent which increased to was around 73.43 in 2016. Similarly, the pass percentage stood at 76.37 per cent in 2017

Last year, over 7.69 lakh students appeared in CGBSE class 10 and class 12 exams. The overall pass percentage for class 12 was 78.43 per cent and for class 10, the overall pass percentage was 68.20 per cent.

The results will be available at the websites- cgbse.nic.in, results.gov.in/ cgresults, results.cg.nic.in at 11 am. Students can also register at indianexpress.com to get results.

Chhattisgarh Board this year limited the distribution of answersheets for the board exams. The board released a notification in this regard in December last year, which stated that no extra sheets will be provided to students appearing in the exams. A 32-page long answer booklet will be given to class 10 students and a 42-page booklet for class 12.

Explaining the move, the board had then stated that it was done to help students practice how to limit the length of their answers.

The students can also check their CGBSE result by getting themselves registered here at indianexpress.com. After completing the registration process, he/she will get the results or any updates regarding the same on his email id or mobile number.

The results will be available on the official websites, cgbse.net, results.cg.nic.in. To avoid the heavy traffic expected on the websites, one can also refer to the private websites which are also hosting the results – examresults.net, indiaresults.com.

Chhattisgarh board in its release mentioned, “The result will be announced today at 11 am. State Education Minister Prem Sai Singh will release the result through webinar maintaining the COVID-19 norms.”

The state government has also decided to promote students of classes 1 to 8, 9, and 11 to the next class. “It does not even seem possible to conduct the examination in the near future. In view of this, the state government has decided to give general promotion to the students studying from class 1 to 8 and classes 9 and 11,” CGBSE circular read

The evaluation of these pending exams will be on the basis of internal assessment. “The marks for the pending papers will be based on the internal assessment. The students failing to appear in the assessment procedures would be given minimum passing marks,” the circular read

The Chhattisgarh Board, CGBSE cancelled the pending papers of class 10, 12 examinations amid situations arising out of coronavirus pandemic.

As per reports, around 3.84 lakh candidates had appeared in the state class 10 exams, while another 2.66 lakh had sat for the plus-two exams. The students can check their results on June 23 at 11 am at the board's official website - cgbse.nic.in, results.cg.nic.in and results.nic.in.
