Coming from a humanities background, Ipsita plans to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology now. “I was always more tilted toward the humanities sector as I feel that is where I have a flair to excel due to my interest in the field,” said Ipsita. As an ardent reader who loved English literature, Ipsita initially wanted to study it further and become a teacher. But after she was introduced to the subject of psychology in Class 10, there was no turning back.

“After school, I would come home and do my own research online on topics we learnt in psychology. I would find case studies, try to learn various analogies. There is so much to explore in this field,” said Ipsita, who was happy to share her learning from the board examination year.

“Initially I would get scared as this was my first board exam. But the fear would interfere in my focus on studies. Then I learnt it is important to just do the work and worry about the result later,” said Ipsita, who is part of the batch whose Class 10 board exam was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“It was a bit difficult initially to get used to the old pattern of schooling, including writing. But the school really helped with various practice exams,” said Ipsita.

Across 62 schools across Maharashtra, 4,113 students appeared for the ISC exam. With 4,059 students passing the exam, the state has recorded a pass percentage of 99.69, a slight fall from 99.76 percent last year.
