CSIR-UGC NET December 2024 Registration Deadline: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR-UGC NET) 2024 application deadline. Candidates can now register for CSIR-UGC NET 2024 by January 2. Earlier, the last date was on December 30. Interested and eligible candidates yet to register can visit the official website — csirnet.nta.ac.in or nta.ac.in to apply.

The CSIR UGC NET exam is scheduled to be held from February 16 to 28. The exam will be conducted in both English and Hindi, allowing applicants to choose their preferred language while applying for the test.

CSIR-UGC NET 2024: How to apply

Step 1: Visit the official website of the exam – csirnet.nta.ac.in

Step 2: Click on the link available for filling out the application form

Step 3: Click on the ‘New Registration’ button

Step 4: Download the CSIR NET information brochure and read the instructions on the page carefully

Step 5: Click on the checkbox at the bottom of the page and select on the ‘Click Here to Proceed’ button. On clicking the button, the CSIR NET Registration Form will open on the screen

Step 6: Fill in all the given details asked in the registration form and pay the fee and select the submit button.

The exam will last for three hours and will include multiple-choice questions. The exam fee must be paid online using debit or credit cards, internet banking, or UPI.

The exam covers five subjects: Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences (which includes Atmospheric, Ocean, and Planetary Sciences), Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.

Candidates are advised to submit their application form only once. Under no circumstances will candidates be allowed to fill out more than one application, as stated in the official notification.
