CSIR UGC NET 2025 Result: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on April 17 has declared the results for the Joint Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) UGC NET December 2024. Candidates who participated in the exam can visit the official website to check their results – csirnet.nta.ac.in. The candidates will require their application number and date of birth to check their scores. The Joint CSIR NET December 2024 score card will not be dispatched to the candidates in hard copy by post or through e-mail, NTA said while releasing the score card. CSIR UGC NET 2024 December Result: Steps to check scorecard Step 1: Candidates must go to the official website— csirnet.nta.ac.in Step 2: Locate the link for “CSIR UGC NET 2025 Results” on the homepage Step 3: Fill in the credentials, such as application number and date of birth Step 4: The results will be shown, view and download for future reference CSIR UGC NET 2024 Result: 1.74 lakh candidates appeared this year The CSIR UGC NET December 2024 examination was conducted on February 28, March 1, and March 2, 2025, at 326 examination centres across 164 cities. This year, 2,38,451 candidates registered for the test, out of which 1,74,785 candidates appeared. The objection window allowed candidates to raise objections until March 14, 2025. The exam was held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The exam covers five subjects, namely, Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences (which includes Atmospheric, Ocean, and Planetary Sciences), Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences. The Joint CSIR-UGC NET is designed to assess the eligibility of Indian nationals for various academic and research opportunities. These include qualifying for a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), becoming eligible for an Assistant Professor position, or gaining admission to PhD programmes. The exam is relevant for roles in Indian universities, colleges, and research institutions. In 2024 June session, the CSIR UGC NET was conducted on July 25, 26, and 27 across 187 cities from all over the country. The number of candidates who registered for the CSIR UGC NET session was 2,25,335 out of which 1,63,529 candidates appeared for the test. Under category 1, as many as 1,963 candidates have qualified for the test for the Junior Research Fellowship under the CSIR JRF scheme. These candidates are also eligible for Assistant Professor subject to minimum eligibility criteria laid down by UGC. Only 11 candidates have qualified for the test for the award of the JRF under the CSIR JRF scheme. These candidates are not eligible for the position of Assistant Professor. A total of 1,875 candidates have been shortlisted for the Junior Research Fellowship under the UGC JRF scheme. These candidates are also eligible for the position of Assistant Professor. Under category 2, as many as 3,172 candidates are eligible for Assistant Professor and Admission to PhD. While, under category 3, a total of 10,969 candidates have become eligible for admission to PhD only.
