The NTA then re-released the CUET UG 2023 provisional answer key on July 3. A total of 333 questions were dropped from it. However, another set of answer keys was released on the second week of July in which 411 questions had been dropped. 

The NTA has not yet announced any date for CUET UG 2024 answer key release date and time.

To check the CUET UG answer key 2024, candidates should visit the official website — exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG — and click on the answer key link on the homepage. No credentials will be required to download the answer key.

First, the NTA sorts the candidates in descending order on the basis of their percentile scores, after which their raw marks are listed against their percentiles. A third metric called ‘interpolated mark’ is then calculated for each candidate using a method called linear interpolation.

This mathematical concept is applied to find the interpolated marks for every student, assuming that every student appeared on the same paper twice. Their actual raw marks were then divided by the interpolated marks, and the normalised marks will be computed.

To calculate the normalised score for CUET UG candidates, three variables are required: the raw score of the candidate (A), the total number of candidates with a score equal to or less than her raw score (B), and the total number of candidates in that particular session (C).

The mathematical formula applied is B divided by C multiplied by 100.

For example, take the case of a student who appears in a session with 41,326 other candidates. Say, she obtains 121 marks, scoring more than 37,244 other candidates of her session. Her normalised percentile score will be 37,244/41,326X100, which comes to 90.1224411. Percentile scores will be calculated up to 7 decimal places.

Last year, the CUET UG provisional answer key was released on June 29 for the exams held between May 21 and June 17.

NTA will not prepare the CUET UG merit list since the criteria for preparing the same may vary with each Participating Institution.
Each participating Institution will prepare the merit list as per its own criteria and admit the candidates based on the NTA score.

The exam on May 29 was conducted only for a select group of students, who could not appear for the exam at the Maharana Pratap Group of Colleges exam centre. This decision was taken after a wrong question paper was distributed on May 15.

“In one of the exam centres, the invigilators mistakenly distributed English medium question paper to the Hindi medium students. It affected nearly 215 students, who could not appear for the exam on that day, i.e. May 15. However, this is not a re-exam,” a senior NTA official told indianexpress.com before the exam.

NTA score is a percentile score of the candidate in the test in which the candidate has appeared. It indicates his position vis-à-vis others who appeared in it. It is an indicator of the relative position of the candidates amongst those who appeared in the test.

The NTA conducted CUET UG 2024 examination in a single shift for each language, subject and general test so that the need for normalization does not exist. However, for subject conducted in multi-shifts, then normalization will be done. The performance of every candidate will be evaluated using the equi-percentile method wherein normalized marks of each candidate will be calculated using the percentiles of each group of students in a given shift across multiple days for the same subject. 

The CUET question paper, responses of the candidates, and the provisional answer keys will be hosted on the NTA website and challenges regarding answer keys will be invited from candidates. Candidates who appeared in the exam can challenge the answer
keys online by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 200 per answer key challenged. This online challenge facility window will be open for a period of 2-3 days. The exact date of such a facility will be announced on the NTA website.

Delhi University will enroll single-child girl students in every course from this year as part of supernumerary seats.

NTA on June 27 denied allegations of carelessly handling students’ answer sheets of CUET UG 2024. “These are empty boxes kept outside the hall at NTA and do not have any sensitive material inside them. Never did we keep these boxes in open, as being reported by the media. Also, we have sufficient number of security personnel deployed at the place where boxes are kept,” the agency said on ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter).

The Delhi University on July 2 released the second seat allotment result for postgraduate (PG) admission. Candidates who have registered for the counseling process will be able to download the seat allotment result for round 2 by visiting the official website — pgadmission.uod.ac.in or admission.uod.ac.in.

Candidates are required to provide their CUET 2024 registration number and date of birth to access the DU PG round 2 seat allotment result 2024.

According to data shared by the university, as many as 5,415 total allocations against PG admission with 3,833 fresh allocations in round 2. The number of ?candidates who have got upgraded seat is 1,386, while 3,436 ?candidates had opted to freeze in round 1. Candidates who have accepted their seat till 5:25 pm of July 2 was 1,914.

According to the CUET UG 2024 marking scheme, negative marks will be cut for the wrong answers marked in CUET UG.

In addition to the central universities, there are other CUET UG participating universities also which include state government universities, autonomous institutions, private universities and deemed universities.

a) The result for CUET UG 2024 will be processed based on the final answer keys. No grievance with regard to answer keys after the declaration of result of CUET UG will be entertained.

b) The marks obtained by a candidate will be considered further for computation of the result of CUET UG 2024.

c) There shall be no re-evaluation/re-checking of the result. No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.

For the multiple choice questions in CUET UG, to answer a question, the candidates need to choose one option corresponding to the correct answer or the most appropriate answer. However, if any anomaly or discrepancy is found after the process of challenges of the key verification, it shall be addressed in the following manner:
i. Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Five marks (+5)
ii. Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
iii. Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0).
iv. If more than one option is found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
v. If all options are found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
vi. If none of the options is found correct, or a question is found to be wrong, or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks (+5) marks. 

Over 15 lakh candidates appeared for CUET UG 2024 exam this year. While the CUET UG 2024 was held in hybrid mode (CBT and pen and paper) mode on May 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, and 24 in 379 cities including 26 cities outside India for around 13.48 lakh candidates, about 1.58 lakh candidates appeared for seven test papers on May 29.

While traditional language assessments often focus on written and reading comprehension, effective communication for competitive exams and professional settings increasingly requires strong listening and speaking skills.

Due to lack of practice and exposure to activities testing their listening and speaking skills, students face difficulties when facing interviewers and group discussion segments for competitive exams including CUET UG, UPSC and CAT. As group discussions and personal interviews (GD and PI) have become an integral part of the selection process for prominent universities and jobs, here are some strategies to excel in these areas by focusing on effective communication skills.

There are a total of 79 programmes and 69 colleges in DU. Admission to all UG programmes of UoD will be made through the CSAS portal based on the CUET UG 2024. Eligibility to register for DU UG admission -

– The candidate must have passed the Class 12 or its equivalent examination from a single recognised board.  

– Candidate must refer to the programme-specific eligibility to choose the subjects in which the candidate should appear in CUET UG 2024.

– The candidates must appear in CUET UG 2024 in those subjects in which s(he) is appearing/ has passed Class 12. To ascertain programme-specific eligibility and to map the CUET subject(s) with Class 12 subject(s), a marksheet of more than one recognised board may be considered provided the candidate has passed those subjects in Class 12.

There are multiple universities including central, state and private in Odisha that admit candidates to their UG programmes through the CUET UG. Universities including Central University of Odisha, Birla Global University and Centurion University use CUET scores for UG admission.
