The second cut-off list of the Delhi University, released Monday night, revealed that admissions to many popular undergraduate courses in arts and science remained open in the varsity’s top colleges. However, the cut-offs seemed to have fallen marginally, from 0.25 to 1.5 per cent, in most subjects.

Though most colleges have chosen to be cautious by not dropping their percentage points, SGTB Khalsa college – which had the highest requirement in many subjects in the first cut-off list — has seen a steep fall of 8 per cent in BA Honours (Punjabi). Indicating a high demand for admission in colleges not located on campus, off-campus colleges like Deshbandhu, Bharti College and Shyama Prasad College have closed admissions to most of their courses.

B Com (H) still remains open for admissions in popular colleges such as Lady Sri Ram, Daulat Ram college, Hansraj College, Hindu College and IP College. Despite being in demand, admissions to Economics and English still remain open in Kirori Mal College, Lady Sri Ram, Miranda House and Ramjas. Popular colleges where admission to History is still available include Ramjas, SGTB Khalsa, Venkateshwara college, Miranda House and LSR.
