HPBOSE HP Board 10th Result 2020 HIGHLIGHTS: The Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (HPBoSE) declared the result of class 10 exam today, June 9. A total of 1.04 lakh (1,04,323) candidates who had appeared in the examination can check the class 10th results through the website- hpbose.org. Chairman Suresh Soni told indianexpress.com, “The result will be available at the website around 4 pm. The students will get the mark sheets later once lockdown lifted.”

The HPBOSE class 10 exams were held between February 22 and March 19. Therefore, it remained unaffected by the nationwide lockdown caused due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it did delay the evaluation process.

To pass the exam candidates will have to score 33 per cent marks in each subject and an overall score of 33 per cent. Last year, a total of 67,319 students cleared the examination successfully marking a pass percentage of 60.79 per cent.

District-wise, eight students each from Bilaspur and Kangra made it to the merit list, followed by four students from Mandi, three each from Sirmaur, Shimla, Chamba and Una, two from Hamirpur and one from Solan. No student from Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti made it to the list.

Tanu Kumar scores 98.71% marks. She is daughter of Tilak Raj and belongs from Kangra district. The 16-year old wants to become a doctor and will take up medical in class 11.
The marks obtained by topper remain the same as last year - 98.71 per cent. Kangra-girl Tanu Kumari has topped the exam this year, followed closely by Kshitiz Sharma from Hamirpur with 98.56 per cent. In 2019, Atharv Thakur had topped the HPBOSE class 10th exam with 691 marks or 98.71 per cent
As many as 37 students have secured top 10 ranks with many students securing the same marks. The pass percentage of females was better than that of male students as 64.94 per cent boys and 71.5 per cent girls have passed the exam.
The HP Board claims to have completed the evaluation process within 17 days by working from May 12 to May 29 across 45 distribution and collection centres for answer booklets. The evaluation process was carried from home in as a one-time measure to ensure social distancing and safety of evaluators.
A total of 35,811 female students cleared the 10th exam successfully, while 34,560 male students became successful
Tanu topped the SSC, class 10 exam with 98.71 per cent. A total of 70,571 students cleared the exam successfully.

Students who are unhappy with their answer sheets re-evaluated or re-checked may apply by depositing fees of Rs 400 and Rs 300 respectively. The dates will be announced soon.
The mark sheet so displayed on the computer screen as and when the candidates check their results will be considered as the provisional mark sheet hence students should take a print out and download the score-card for future reference. Additionally, students will get an official mark sheet from their respective schools. While the lateral might take time, provisional mark sheet is accepted during admissions as well.

For the next academic session, the board has introduced 15 new vocational courses from class 9 to class 12. The courses are developed for specific vocational jobs in several sectors including IT, ITS, healthcare, media, beauty and wellness, tourism, electronics, plumber, etc. The syllabus for these subjects will be prepared by Pandit Sunder Lal Sharma Central Institute of Vocational Education, Bhopal
