The IBPS PO prelims examination 2025 was conducted to shortlist candidates for the probationary officer role in various Indian public sector banks. Those who secure the qualifying cut-off marks in the prelims will be eligible to appear for the mains examination.

The closure date of the result is October 3.

IBPS PO Main Examination 2025 contains a total of 145 objective type of total 200 marks questions to be answered in 160 minutes. The descriptive section contains essay and comprehension of total 25 marks. This section must be completed in 30 minutes duration.

IBPS PO Mains exam 2025 is scheduled to be held on October 12, 2025. The IBPS PO Main Admit Card 2025 will be released a few days before the exam date. Candidates can expect their IBPS PO Main Hall Tickets in the first week of October 2025.

Candidates scoring more than the minimum cutoff for the IBPS PO prelims exam 2025 will be eligible to appear in IBPS PO Main Exam 2025. The main exam will be conducted on October 12, 2025, in online mode.

Candidates who appeared for the preliminary exams will be able to download their IBPS PO Prelims scorecard from the official website – ibps.in.

Last year, the IBPS PO prelims exam was conducted till October 20, and the result was declared on November 21, a month after the completion of the exam.

Candidates who appeared for the exam, held on August 23 and 24, 2025, can access their results by logging into the portal using their registration or roll number along with their date of birth or password.

To move from the Prelims to the Main exam, candidates must score at or above the sectional and overall cut-offs as determined by IBPS. Qualifiers will receive further instructions via email or SMS.
