The JEE Advanced 2025 examination will be conducted on May 18, and registration will start on April 23, with the last day being May 2. The iimcat.ac.in is the official website to download CAT score card. The CAT 2024 score card can be accessed by logging in with the CAT application login id and password.

Last year, engineers dominated the top ranks in IIM CAT. In the group of candidates who scored 100 percentiles, 11 candidates were from the engineering background and 3 were from non-engineering.

Similarly, among the 99.99 percentile holders, 22 candidates were from the engineering background and seven were from the non-engineering background. Among the 99.98 percentile holders, 20 candidates were from the engineering field and only nine were from the non-engineering background.

Of the 2.93 lakh candidates who appeared for the exam, 1.07 lakh are female candidates, 1.86 lakh are male candidates and 5 are transgender candidates.

Candidates with a valid CAT 2024 score will be allowed to register for admission to postgraduate (PG) programmes at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other participating colleges.

The shortlisted candidates are called for the next rounds of selection by the respective IIMs which normally include the writing ability test (WAT), personal interview (PI) and group discussion (GD).

Step 1: Calculate the total number of candidates (N) who appeared for CAT

Step 2: Assign a rank (r), based on the scaled scores obtained in the QA section, to all candidates who appeared for CAT. In the case, two or more candidates obtain identical scaled scores in the QA section, assign identical ranks will be given to all those candidates.

Step 3: Calculate the percentile score (P) of a candidate with rank (r) in the QA section as: P = [(N − r)/N] x 100

Step 4: Round off the calculated percentile score (P) of a candidate up to two decimal points

The CAT Centre received a total of 405 objections against the CAT 2024 provisional answer key. The 405 objections were received across three sections and three shifts.

The Indian Institute of Management, Mumbai (IIM Mumbai) has concluded its placement season for the 2025 batch, achieving a record-breaking highest package of Rs 54 lakh per annum. As many as 78 companies participated and a total of 373 offers were made.

A key highlight of this year’s IIM Mumbai placements was Coca-Cola offering the highest internship stipend of Rs 5 lakh, setting a new benchmark for business internships. Other recruiters such as Microsoft, Amazon, Accenture, and FMCG giants drove the recruitment momentum, with Microsoft offering the top annual package.

The placement season, which began on November 25, showcased a remarkable 15 per cent growth in average stipends, underscoring the institute’s commitment to aligning academia with industry requirements.

The second-generation IIMs have gone ahead enrolling more women students than men. IIM Rohtak, ranked 12th  in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), enrolled 73 per cent women candidates, 4 per cent higher than last year.

In IIM Sambalpur, women have outnumbered men with 76 per cent enrolment, the highest among all IIMs. This is an increase of about 20 per cent from 57.99 per cent in the last academic session.

The flagship course of IIM Kashipur has recorded 42 per cent women students, overturning the gender equation of the campus that had admitted around 35 per cent women students last year – an increase of 7 per cent in one year. The MBA-Analytics cohort has 75 per cent women students this session, surpassing last year’s tally of 69 per cent women candidates. IIM Kashipur is a second-generation IIM and is placed in the 19th rank.
