JEE Advanced 2020 Paper 1 and 2 Analysis HIGHLIGHTS: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced was conducted on September 27. Over 1.60 lakh (1,60,864) appeared in the entrance held at 1,150 centres in 222 cities across the country. The NTA has arranged more exam centres following the COVID-19 guidelines this year.

The candidates had to appear in the exams with face masks, hand sanitisers. Nearly 97.94 per cent of candidates who have registered and paid the fee for entrance have been allocated exam cities among their top three choices.

Paper analysis of shift 2

Ajay Kumar Sharma, national academic director (engineering), Aakash (AESL) analysed the paper a bit difficult, with maths and phyics portion calculative and lengthy. “The questions were majorly lengthy and difficult in maths and physics, while the chemistry portion was relatively easy, and questions mostly follow NCERT pattern.”

Candidate's take on JEE Advanced

Nearly, 1.60 lakh (1,60,831) candidates have registered for the entrance following the COVID-19 guidelines. Nandini Guha, a JEE Advanced aspirant said the difficulty level of the paper is as expected, and follow the pattern of IIT-entrance. “In maths, questions from algebra and calculus were lengthy and difficult, physics was also lengthy, and questions were mostly from chapters like rotation, work power energy, magnetism and thermodynamics. The chemistry paper was relatively easier and was NCERT based,” said Nandini.

Paper analysis of JEE Advanced 2020: Expert's reactions

According to Ramesh Batlish, head FIITJEE Noida, “Though the paper was comparatively easier than the last year, but candidates faced difficulties in solving the maths paper. The physics portion was too lengthy, while the chemistry had balanced questions. Of total, 54 questions were remain same as last year.”

JEE Advanced shift 1 concludes

The shift one of JEE Advanced has been concluded. A total of 1.60 lakh (1,60,831) candidates registered for the entrance exam for admission to IITs this year.

The exams are being held today following strict COVID-19 guidelines- the candidates have to wear face masks, need to carry hand sanitisers in transparent bottles, without it, they will not be allowed inside the centres.

IIT-Delhi JEE Advanced 2020 HIGHLIGHTS: The result will be released on October 5 and seat allocation will begin from October 8, as per the statement. Counselling will be done through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Interested and eligible candidates who have cleared JEE Main or will pass the JEE Advanced exams will be able to register at josaa.nic.in. This year, there will be six counselling rounds instead of seven.
