ISC ICSE Result 2024 Updates: 99.47% students pass ICSE exam, 98.19% pass ISC

The number of Schools that presented candidates in Delhi & NCR region for the ICSE examination is 46, and the total number of candidates who appeared for the ICSE examination is 5,629. Similarly, the number of schools that presented candidates in Delhi & NCR region for the ISC Examination is 41. The total number of candidates who appeared for the ISC exam is 3,332.

In the Delhi NCR region, the pass percentage for ICSE is 99.88% up by 0.20% from last year. The pass percentage for ISC is 99.10% up by 0.06% from last year. Girls have done better than Boys at both levels.

Candidates who are not satisfied with the recheck result of the subject(s) for which they had applied, will be permitted to apply for re-evaluation of their answer script(s) of that/ those subject(s) only. Students will be able to apply for reevaluation using the menu link “Public Services” on the CISCE’s website — cisce.org.

The online re-evaluation module will be available for only 24 hours, after the declaration of results for recheck requests received for the ICSE / ISC 2024 exams.

In Haryana, a total of 28 schools presented ICSE students, and 13 presented ISC students.

A total of 160 ICSE schools and 72 ISC schools presented students in CISCE exams 2024 in Kerala. From these schools, 7186 ICSE and 2822 ISC students appeared, of which the pass percentage for ICSE was 99.99 per cent and 99.93 per cent in ISC. In KErala, girls have outshined boys by scoring 100% in both classes.

Candidates should remember that ICSE and ISC compartment exams have been discontinued from 2024 onwards.

In the ICSE exam, 2695 schools participated, with 82.48% (2223) schools achieving a 100% pass percentage. As per CISCE, there were 2503 examination centres and 709 evaluation centres for this exam.

Check statistics for Special Category students of ICSE

– 15,026 Scheduled Caste candidates took the examination achieving a pass percentage of  99.11% 

– 8,255 Scheduled Tribe candidates took the examination achieving a pass percentage of  98.39% 

– 56,803 Other Backward Classes candidates took the examination achieving a pass  percentage of 99.52% 

In ISC, Western region has the highest percentage of girls i.e. 50.55 per cent, who had appeared in the examination

In ICSE, the best performing schools abroad are from Indonesia, Singapore and Dubai  (UAE) with a 100 per cent pass percentage. In ISC, the best performing schools abroad are from Singapore and Dubai (UAE) with a 100 per cent pass percentage.

In ICSE, the Southern region has the highest percentage of girls i.e. 49.52 per cent, who had appeared in the examination. 

In ISC (India), the Southern region recorded the highest pass percentage i.e. 99.53 per cent, followed by the Western region having a pass percentage of 99.32 per cent.

On the other hand, in ICSE (India), the Western region has the highest pass percentage i.e. 99.91 per cent, followed by the Southern region having a pass percentage of 99.88 per cent.

As per the official data, the maximum entry is from the Northern region comprising the states: Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir,  Madhya Pradesh, New Delhi & NCR, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand

In ICSE, girls have done better than boys as they scored an overall pass percentage of 99.31 per cent, while boys scored 99.65 per cent. Similarly, in ISC too girls have achieved a pass percentage of 98.92 per cent, while boys scored 97.53 per cent.

CISCE had reduced the syllabus of major subjects for ICSE and ISC exams. For ICSE, the syllabus was revised for history and civics, geography, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, economics, commercial studies, computer applications, economic applications, commercial applications, home science, physical education, yoga, and environmental applications.

In the CISCE 2023 results, girls had outshined boys in both classes. 99.21 per cent girls passed in ICSE while 98.71 per cent boys passed in ICSE exams. In ISC, 98.01% girls passed while 95.96% boys passed in exams. Similarly, in 2022, girls had performed better than boys then too, with a pass percentage of 99.52 per cent, while boys secured 99.26 per cent.

This year, CISCE had to postpone the Class 12 (ISC) Psychology exam due to loss of packet of the question paper. “Kindly note, one of the ISC Year 2024 Examination Centres has reported the Question Paper packet of the forthcoming ISC Year 2024, Psychology Examination, lost,” the official notification stated.

The exam was then conducted on April 4 at 2 pm.

Even in 2021, ICSE candidates were awarded the average marks obtained in class 9 and class 10. The total marks included students' performance in internal assessments and practical exams as well. 

A special marking scheme was used to calculate marks in 2020 when Covid-19 pandemic had hit the country. For subjects for which exams were not held, marks were given on the basis of internal assessment and the best of three. The three highest-scoring subjects (for which the exam has taken place) were counted while the internal assessment of the papers which could also include project work will also be added. The weightage of 70:30 was given to both the marking schemes, respectively.

Candidates who wish to improve their marks / grade in the same year of the examination, may take the improvement exam in a maximum of two subjects. The improvement exam will be conducted in July 2024.

In 2021, CISCE had announced that no toppers list will be announced due to the Covid-19 pandemic. “Given the exceptional circumstances under which the results have been prepared, this year too, the CISCE will not be publishing the merit lists for the ICSE and ISC examinations,” said Gerry Arathoon, then-chief executive and secretary, CISCE.

Yes, in 2022, due to the effect of Covid-19, the exams were held in two semesters. Marks for semester 1 exams were halved (except for Geometrical and Mechanical Drawing and Art). These marks were then added to the semester 2 score to reach the final score.

Here are steps to check ISC and ICSE scores on DigiLocker:

Step 1: Access the URL -- results.digilocker.gov.in

Step 2: The Digilocker landing page would appear with a designated CISCE section.

Step 3: For accessing the ICSE (Class 10) Year 2024 Examination results:
(a) Click ICSE (Class 10) button.
(b) On the next page, enter the Index Number and the Date of Birth (As per admission card).
(c) Click on 'Submit' button to view the candidate's result.

For accessing the ISC (Class 12) Year 2024 Examination results:
(a) Click ISC (Class 12) button.
(b) On the next page, enter the Index Number and the Date of Birth.

Candidates and other stakeholders can apply for recheck of results using the menu link "Public Services'' on the CISCE's website -- cisce.org

The user needs to click on the button named login to CISCE service portal, using the registered email address and password. Those who do not have an account may create one by clicking on "Register Now".

The head of schools can apply for the recheck of results of their school candidates through the Careers portal.

The recheck module will be activated after the declaration of results on May 6 and will be available till May 10. No further request for recheck of results of the ICSE / ISC exam year 2024 will be entertained thereafter.

The results of all the recheck requests received by CISCE will be declared together, within four weeks, on the website of CISCE -- cisce.org.

Last year, five ISC students secured the top rank by scoring 399 marks each. These students were Riyaa Agarwal, Ipshita Bhattacharyya, Mohd Aryaan Tariq, Subham Kumar Agarwal, and Manya Gupta.

Students would need to key in their unique ID, index number, and captcha to log in to their account and check their individual score cards

Last year, West region secured the highest pass percentage with 99.81 per cent followed by South region with 99.69 per cent. North region secured 98.65 per cent and East region secured 98.47 per cent. 

Students were required to keep their admit card handy, where their roll number and date of birth were mentioned. This information was necessary to check the result.

NTA is expected to release the advanced city intimation slip for the Common University Entrance Test, Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2024 today. Once released, students will be able to check the slip at the official CUET UG 2024 website. Students seeking admissions to undergraduate programmes in central universities and select private and state varsities have to appear in the exam.

The Tabulation Register will be made available on the Careers Portal of CISCE for the schools to view/ print the same. The schools will be able to access the Tabulation Register by logging into the Careers Portal, using the School Principal's login ID and password.

The steps to be followed for accessing results on the Careers Portal are as given below:

(a) On logging into the Careers Portal, click on the 'Examination' tile.
(b) On the Menu Bar, click on 'ICSE' for accessing the ICSE (Class X) Year 2024 Examination Results and on 'ISC' for accessing the ISC (Class XII) Year 2024 Examination Results.
(c) From the ICSE / ISC menu, click on 'Reports.
(d) Click on 'Result Tabulation' to View/ Print the School's Result Tabulation.
(e) Click on the 'Comparison Table' to View/ Print the same.

To pass the exam students need to score 33 marks in ICSE exams and have a similar aggregate percentage. To clear the ISC exam, students need to have at least 40 per cent marks in each subject as well as aggregate.

Last year, 14149 Scheduled Caste candidates participated, achieving a pass percentage of 98.36%. Additionally, 8248 Scheduled Tribe candidates took the exam, achieving a pass percentage of 96.92%. Among the Other Backward Classes candidates, a total of 53251 individuals took the examination, achieving a pass percentage of 98.98%.

In 2023, The pass percentage of ICSE students was 98.94 per cent. In ICSE, girls secured a pass percentage of 99.21 per cent while boys secured a pass percentage of 98.71 per cent.

Last year, in ISC, the overall pass percentage stood at 96.93 per cent, while the pass percentage of girls was 98.01 per cent and boys was 95.96 per cent.
