JAC Jharkhand Board 8th Result 2020 HIGHLIGHTS: Jamtara tops among districts with 91.90%

Nearly 5.12 lakh students had registered for the JAC Class 8 exams. This year, students will not be able to access the result on their own. Only school principals can log in to get mark sheets

Jamtara has secured the best pass percentage – 91.90 per cent. A total of 1,1,710 students appeared from this district.

A total of 91.60 per cent students cleared the exam successfully this year. Last year it was 84.58 per cent

This year, 1,00,981 students scored 80 per cent and above (grade A+) while 1,99,871 students scored between 60 per cent to 80 per cent (grade A). Meanwhile, among districts, Jamtara has secured the best pass percentage – 91.90 per cent. A total of 1,1,710 students appeared from this district.

The overall pass percentage has improved drastically from 84.58 per cent last year to 97.42 this year.

As per the minimum marks criteria, students need to obtain a minimum of 30 percent marks to be declared passed in the matric examination. Thus, at least 30 marks out of 100 and an aggregate of 150 marks in total is needed to be declared pass.

Male students have performed slightly better than females this year. Of the 19.8 lakh make students who appeared for the exam, 97.59 per cent cleared the exam while of the 21.82 lakh females who appeared for the exam 97.27 passed it

A total of 97.425 per cent cleared the class 9 exam this year, the result of which was declared on June 2. The worst performing district this year — Singhbhum — has got a better result than that of the best performing district of last year

The Jharkhand Academic Council was established for holding and conducting examinations of Intermediate, Secondary, Madhyama and Madarsa from Vastaniyan to Fazil for prescribing courses of studies for such examinations and for recommending for recognition of Intermediate Educational Institutions, High Schools, Sanskrit Schools and Madrasas to the State Government and for carrying out such other examination as assigned to the council by the State Govt from time to time. Besides the Council also accords opening permission of school Inter College & School and recommends for their recognition to the HRD. It also recommends the madarsa well as Sanskrit School for their recognition to the HRD.

The council, for the first time would broadcast the evaluation process live through CCTV cameras. The arrangements have been made to keep an eye on protocols of social distancing being followed at various centres, secretary Mahip Kumar Sing said.

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) will declare the results of Class 8 examination on Thursday, June 4 at 2 pm.
