IIT Gandhinagar invites applications for summer research internship

The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar) has opened the application window to register for the undergraduate summer research internship. Students pursuing a bachelor’s or masters degree in India will be eligible to apply for the internship. The official website to apply for the internship is srip.iitgn.ac.in.

The period of internship is of eight weeks, during the summer break of IIT Gandhinagar, between May 5 and July 15. The application link will remain active till 5 pm, March 7.

IIT Gandhinagar internship details

– Applicants are required to work with an IIT Gandhinagar faculty. Applicants are advised to review the list of participating faculty along with the description of projects being offered.

– Candidates may apply for the IIT Gandhinagar internship based on their interests and prior experiences. They are free to apply for projects outside of their declared degree or specialisations.

Applicants will also be required to make a presentation to the institute and submit a report at the end of the internship after which they will receive a stipend and a certificate.

A weekly stipend of Rs 2,000 will be paid after the completion of the internship. However, the stipend for faculty-funded projects may vary, an institute statement said.

Hostel accommodation will be provided to the summer interns and students are required to pay the applicable hostel charges.

Students are expected to work on the project in person and interact with the faculty mentor regularly while staying on the campus. This mode is open to all the students (internal and external).
