NTA JEE Main Result 2025 Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the JEE Main 2025 session 1 result. Candidates can check the results of Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) BE and BTech papers at its official website — jeemain.nta.nic.in. The candidates need to login with their JEE registration number to download their scorecard.
This year, 14 students have scored 100 percentile of which 5 are from Rajasthan. Sai Manogna Guthikonda from Andhra Pradesh is the female topper with 100 NTA score. Over 12.58 lakh appeared for session 1.
NTA on February 10 released the JEE Main final answer keys. Students who appeared for the exam and had challenged JEE Main questions can now check the answers to the questions. This year, 12 questions have been dropped by the Agency. The final answer key was released on the afternoon of February 10.
JEE Main Result 2025 Session 1 Updates
Those who are not satisfied with their score can apply for JEE Main April session, registration of which has started.
Since Session 1 of JEE (Main) - 2025 B.E. / B.Tech will be conducted in multi-shifts, and NTA scores will be calculated corresponding to the raw (actual) marks obtained by a candidate. The calculated NTA scores for all the shifts will be declared on the NTA websites. This will comprise the NTA scores for each of the three subjects (mathematics, physics and chemistry) and the total in BE / BTech of session 1 of paper 1 of JEE Main 2025.

Tie between candidates obtaining same total NTA scores will be resolved in the following order:
1. NTA score in mathematics, followed by;
2. NTA score in physics, followed by;
3. NTA score in chemistry, followed by;
4. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects
in the test, followed by;
5. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in mathematics in the test, followed by;
6. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in physics in the
test, followed by;
7. Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in chemistry in the
test followed by;
8. If there is a tie even after this, candidates will be assigned the same rank
If two candidates from the same shift have the same marks, then their percentile scores will be the same.
However, if the candidates from different shifts score the same marks, the percentiles may be different. The reason is that the percentile scores or the relative position of the candidates are calculated with reference to each shift separately. It is possible that the same marks in different shifts would correspond to different relative positions.
The merit list, scores and result of JEE Main 2025 will be used by other entities of central and state governments with their eligibility criteria, norms and applicable regulations, guidelines or rules.
Once the JEE Main 2025 percentile scores are assigned to each candidate in every shift, these indicate the relative position of the candidate in their respective shift. This is a common, uniform scale of marks and hence the percentile scores can be compared with each other.
The JEE Main all India rank (AIR) will be compiled and declared after the conduct of the JEE Main 2025 session 2. Only the All India Rank (AIR) is used for admissions through Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB)/Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) to NITs/ IIITs/ CFTIs/ SFIs/ Others.
All participating Institutions that do not use the Centralized Seat Allocation Process will prepare their own ranking based on the performance in JEE (Main) - 2025 and other criteria as decided by them.
These errors have had happened in the past when NTA was trying to upload the result and check its’ display on the official website before the due date. However, they are prepared with the JEE Main scorecard and it should be out either today or by tomorrow.

There will be negative marking for Section B. However, if any anomaly or discrepancy is found after the process of challenges of the key verification, it shall be addressed in the following manner:
1. Correct Answer: Four marks (+4)
2. Incorrect Answer: Minus one mark (-1)
3. Unanswered/Marked for Review: No mark (0).
4. If a question is found to be incorrect or the Question is dropped then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all Candidates. The reason could be due to human error or technical error.
5. Candidates are advised to do the calculations with the constants given (if any) in the questions. The answer should be rounded off to the nearest integer.

NTA has said that the JEE Main 2025 result will likely be out today. They have not yet confirmed the JEE Main result date and time.

The JEE Main result 2025 is announced separately after each session; however, the cut off is released once the session 2 exam is concluded.
If a student appears for both sessions, then one in which marks are higher will be considered for qualification. Only those who qualify for the JEE Main cutoff are eligible for the JEE Advanced exam 2025.

JEE Main Result 2025 Session 1 Updates: This year, it is expected that general candidates cut off can range between 91-95, while for OBC NCL, it is predicted by the coaching institutes to be between 77-83. While for SC, it is 58-65, and ST 44-50. Last year, for general category candidates, the cut off for Advanced was 93.23 which was up from 90.77 in 2023, up from 88.4 in 2022 and 87.9 in 2021. The qualifying scores for general candidates were 90.3 and 89.7 in 2020 and 2019, respectively.
