JEE Main Session 4 result 2021 Updates: Most 100 percentile scorers from AP, Telangana

The National Testing Agency (NTA) today released JEE Main session 4 final answer keys 2021 and it is available at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The provisional answer key for this exam was released on September 6.

A total of 2,52,954 candidates commonly appeared in all four sessions of the JEE Main 2021 exam.

NTA has released the category wise cut-off for the JEE Main results declared today. For the unreserved category, the minimum cut-off marks are 87.899 per cent while maximum is 100 per cent.

In the four sessions of JEE Main conducted in March, August and September a total of 10,48,012 candidates registered to appear out of which only 9,39,008 candidates appeared in all the sessions

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has released MHT CET 2021 admit card. MHT CET for engineering is scheduled to be held between September 21 and October 1. Read more

JEE Session 4 topper DV Paneesh had also topped the JEE Main session 3. The topper from Andhra studied for approximately 12-13 hours each day and never felt pressured to score well. “I was confident about my preparation and worked hard to get a perfect score. The ranks of the candidates have been released taking into consideration the best of the four NTA scores in accordance with the policy already made. Read more

Eighteen-year-old Guramrit Singh scored a perfect 100 percentile in the JEE Main exam held in February.  “I want to study computer science engineering from either IIT-Bombay or IIT-Delhi,” he said. Read more

JEE Main was conducted in 13 languages -- English, Hindi, Gujarati , Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Over 9.34 lakh candidates appeared in four editions of JEE-Main. 

Kavya Chopra has become the first female to top the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. She scored a perfect 300 in the exam held in the March session. She had scored 99.978 in the February session but decided to reappear as she set a “benchmark for herself of scoring not less than 99.98 percentile”. Read more

NTA will soon release the JEE Main Session 4 result 2021. Candidates can check their score cards on the following websites - nta.ac.in,, ntaresults.nic.in, jeemain.nta.nic.in

Candidates should be among the top 2,50,000* successful candidates (including all categories) in B.E./B.Tech. paper of JEE (Main) 2021. Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1996. Five years of age relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates.

Number of attempts: A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.

Educational qualification: A candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2020 or 2021 with the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

Once the JEE Main result 2021 is declared, the top 2.5 lakh candidates will be able to register for JEE Advanced 2021. Those who won't qualify will go through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA counselling 2021) for seats in other central institutions such as the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other government-funded institutions.

Step 1: Visit the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in or ntaresults.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the “JEE Main 2021 session 4 results” link.

Step 3: Enter application number, date of birth, and security pin.

Step 4: Click on the “Submit” button.

Step 5: JEE Main result for session 4 will be displayed on the screen.

Step 6: Download the result and take a printout.

The agency released the final answer key for JEE Main 2021 on September 8. The experts predict that due to the overall difficulty level, the cut-off for JEE Main will be above 90 per cent. The cut-off is being prepared considering various factors that affect the exam — the total number of aspirants who appeared, the number of available seats, the difficulty level of the exam, previous year cut-off trends.

As per a recent notification, the JEE Main Session 4 result will be announced shortly by the NTA. The students will be able to download their scorecards from the official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in

The final NTA JEE Main 2021 seat matrix will be released after JEE Main session 4 result declaration. The seat matrix will contain number of seats available in IITs, NITs and GFITs. Last year, there were more than 13,000 seats in IITs and around 21,000 seats in NITs. 

The delay in JEE Main result is speculated to be a result of alleged JEE Main exam rigging. CBI on September 3 had arrested seven people in connection with a case of alleged rigging of (JEE) (Mains) examination this year. The CBI probe has found that the accused scouted for students willing to appear for the exams fraudulently by paying between Rs 12 lakh and Rs 15 lakh.

f two students get the same score, NTA will use a tie-breaking procedure to declare their ranks in JEE Main 2021. Here's the formula:

• Candidates with higher marks in Mathematics will be prefered, followed by
• NTA score in Physics, followed by
• NTA score in Chemistry
• If the tie remains, the candidate with a lesser ratio of negative to positive response will be preferred

This year, IIT-Kharagpur is conducting the exam, which is the qualifying test for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The exam will be held in two shifts — 9:00 am to 12:00 noon (Paper-1) and 14:30 pm to 17:30 pm (Paper-2).  Around 2.5 lakh candidates who clear JEE Main 2021 will be eligible to sit for JEE Advanced 2021.

A total of 17 students have scored a 100 score in the JEE Main session 3 result. These included Karnam Lokesh, Duggineni Venkata Paneesh, Pasala Veera Siva and Kanchanapalli Rahul Naidu from Andhra Pradesh, Vaibhav Vishal from Bihar, Anshul Verma from Rajasthan, Ruchir Bansal and Pravar Kataria from Delhi, Harsh and Anmol from Haryana, Gaurab Das from Karnataka, Polu Lakshmi Sai Lokesh Reddy, Madur Adarsh Reddy and Velavali Venkata from Telangana and Pal Aggarwal and Amaiya Singhal from Uttar Pradesh.

The closing rank at which candidates can get admissions to the NITs, IIITs or GFTIs is known as the JEE Main cut-off for these institutes. This cut-off is released by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) in the online mode at the end of each counselling round. Various factors like the difficulty level of JEE Main 2021, total applicants for the institute, seat intake, category, and others determine the cutoff. Check the cut-off here

In case two or more candidates obtain the same score in paper 1 for B.Tech/ B.E, the NTA specified guidelines for inter-se merit will be applied where candidates with higher marks in maths, physics, chemistry and less negative responses will be considered for a higher ranking in the order specified. For B.Arch/ B.Plan, candidates with a higher score in maths followed by an aptitude test, drawing, less negative responses will be considered for a higher ranking.

Due to delay in publication in JEE (Main) 2021 results, the already announced date of registration for JEE (Advanced) 2021 has been postponed. As per the notice, now the registration process for JEE (Advanced) 2021 will begin on September 13 and the last date to register will be September 19. Read more

Candidates who will qualify the exam by meeting the required cut-off will become eligible to appear for JEE Advanced and for admission into NITs, IITs, and CFTIs. JEE Advanced will be conducted on October 3.

In 2021, the number of attempts was increased to a total of four. Earlier, students could appear for the engineering entrance test only twice. Students can now appear in JEE Main four times. Those who make it to the top 2.5 lakh of the JEE Main list will be shortlisted to appear for JEE Advanced 2021.

 National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release the JEE Main Session 4 (May) result 2021. The result declaration has was delayed from September 10 due to unspecified reasons and it is likely to be announced tonight.
