Joint CSIR UGC NET June 2024 Day 2 exam today

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the second day of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) UGC NET 2024 today, July 26. The candidates can download their admit cards from the official website — csirnet.nta.ac.in. The Joint CSIR UGC NET June 2024 exam which started on July 25 will continue till July 27.

The exam will be conducted in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode and the duration for the test is 180 minutes (3 hours). The exams will be held in two shifts — from 9 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm.

While the tests for earth, atmospheric, ocean and planetary sciences and physical sciences was held in the morning shift on July 25, the test for mathematical sciences was conducted in the afternoon shift.

Candidates need to reach the examination centre on the date and time mentioned on their CSIR UGC NET admit card. The candidates are advised to read the instructions given on the admit card before going for the exam.

CSIR UGC NET: Exam day guidelines

– Candidates must bring the printed copy of their admit card, one passport size photograph (same as that on application form), any one of the authorized government photo id card (school identity card, PAN card, driving licence, voter ID, passport, aadhar card, aadhar enrolment no, ration card) and PwD certificate, if applicable.

– Students should reach the examination centre 30 minutes prior to the test, late entries will not be entertained.

– Candidates should not carry any baggage or any material from the list of prohibited substances inside the examination hall.

– Students will not be allowed to leave their seat or examination hall without the permission of the invigilator.

– Students need to follow the rules and regulations or instructions of the NTA, any negligence will be governed according to the CSIR or NTA

– Any candidate, if found in unfair practices will be booked under unfair means case can be debarred for 3 years and liable actions

The question paper will be multiple choice question (MCQs) based and will be divided in three parts. Part ‘A’ will consist of questions on General Aptitude, Part ‘B’ will cover subject-related MCQs and part ‘C’ will contain the questions that test the candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts. The candidate can give the test in either English or Hindi as selected during registration.
