MHT CET 2024: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) Cell has commenced the option entry process for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) round 1 today (August 9). The MHT CET 2024 final merit list was released on August 8, determining the eligibility of candidates for CAP round 1 seat allotment.
Candidates whose names are on the merit list must complete the option entry process by August 11, through the official portal at cetcell.mahacet.org. The seat allotment result for CAP round 1 will be announced on August 14, and candidates can access it using their registration number and date of birth.
Candidates who are allotted seats must accept the offer and report to the respective institutes between August 14 and August 17 for MHT CET. The admissions process mandates candidates to verify documents and pay the requisite fees at the allotted institution. Failure to comply with these procedures within the stipulated time will lead to the forfeiture of the seat.
Candidates are advised to carefully review their options before submission as changes will not be permitted post submission for MHT CET 2024. The entire CAP process, including option entry and seat allotment, is important in securing admission to preferred institutions. The seat allotment is based on the ranks obtained in CET 2024, ensuring a fair and transparent admission process.
MHT CET Cell has told “The Institute shall verify the required documents and upload the admission of the candidates in the online system through Institute Login immediately and shall issue a system generated receipt of confirmation of admission and fee paid receipt to the candidate. If it is found that seat allotted to the candidate is on the false claims made in the applications by the candidate, then institute shall not admit such a candidate and such candidate shall raise the grievance by his/her login.”
