A total of 925213 candidates were registered for MPBSE class 10 exams 2021. Of the total, 8865 students have been marked absent and the result has been declared for 914079 students. A total of 356582 candidates have got the first division followed by 397626 candidates with the second division. As many as 159871 students have got the third division.

The Madhya Pradesh state government had cancelled the class 10 board exams in the state citing the second wave of Covid-19. Previously, the state government had announced its decision to postpone board examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 until further notice.
The class 10 results will be announced on the basis of an alternative means of assessment scheme. As per the evaluation criteria devised, the class 10 results will be formed on the basis of internal assessments and students’ performance on unit tests, half-yearly exams, and pre-board exams. That is, 50 per cent weightage will be given to the pre-board, 30 per cent to the unit tests and 20 per cent weightage to the internals. MP Minister of State for School Education released the result of 10th board exams through single click. 9,14,079 were enrolled for this exam, among which 3,56,583 students have scored first division which accounts to 39 percent and 2,97,626 students got the second division (43.50%)
The exam result of all schools in the Chhatarpur district of MP is 100 percent. 29,571 students were enrolled for the MPBSE 10th board exam form Chhatarpur, which include 27,774 regular candidates and 1,797 self-study candidates.

Students who are dissatisfied with the awarded marks or have been marked absent can appear for exams in September 2021. Such candidates will have to register between August 1-10 on MPONLINE portal. Candidates who seek any clarification or have found any error in their marks can notify the board regarding the same within three months from the date of result declaration.

Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar, while releasing the result, said that students who are not satisfied with the marks awarded through the alternative marking scheme will be allowed to appear for examinations when the situation will become conducive for the board to conduct exams.
The MPBSE class 10 results have also been declared for 79086 self-study candidates. A total of 52,102 boys and 26984 girls were registered as self-study students during academic session 2020-21. All self-study candidates have achieved third division and the total pass percentage has been recorded to be 100 per cent.

As class 10 board exams were cancelled and students will be evaluated based on an alternative marking scheme, the MPBSE will not release any merit list. No students will be failed this year. All students will be promoted to class 11.
"As a first step, we have decided that in the week starting from July 26, we will start schools of class 11 and 12 with 50 per cent capacity. One day a week one batch will arrive and the next day another batch will arrive. Accordingly, colleges will start with half the capacity in phases," said MP chief minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

In order to pass in MPBSE class 10 exams, students need 33 per cent marks in every subject. Along with this, students will also need to score 33 per cent as the aggregate score. This year, the MPBSE class 10 result will be calculated on the basis of alternate evaluation criteria devised by the board.
The results of the class 10 board examination in 2020 were declared as per the favourite five policy. Out of six subjects, the best percentage was taken into account of five subjects for calculating the passing marks. In case a student failed in one subject, he/she was still promoted to the next class.
This year, the MPBSE class 1 exams were cancelled due to Covid. The state board has devised alternate criteria to evaluate students. As per this year's evaluation criteria, students' pre-board marks will get 50 per cent weightage, 30 per cent weightage will be given to unit tests, and 20 per cent weightage to internal assessments. Schools have also been directed to prepare results in sync with the past three years' results data.
To check MP Board class 10 results one needs to keep their hall tickets or MPBSE class 10 admit cards ready. Students will be able to check the result by roll number mentioned in the admit card.
In 2020, a total of 5.6 lakh (5,60,474) students cleared the class 10 exam successfully out of 8.93 lakh (8,93,336) appeared. The pass percentage was 62.84 per cent
As many as 62.84 per cent of students passed the MPBSE class 10 exam in 2020. There was a slight rise of 1.52 per cent from 61.32 per cent in 2019. This is a significant rise from the pass percentage of 49.86 per cent in 2017, however, the pass percentage was recorded at 66 per cent in 2018
Once the MP Board result is out, the special exam application window will open. The window to apply for special exams will open on August 1 and close on August 10.
