Candidates will have to visit the DMER NEET UG counselling website — cetcell.net. Candidates will have to register by filling out the online application form and paying the application fee. NTA trying to release results today latest by 10 pm. The NEET results committee meeting is scheduled to take place shortly.

Dipayan Karmakar, the Tripura JEE PCM topper said that he desires to become a doctor. Dipayan also secured the fifth position in PCB group. “I want to give credit for my success to my mother first, then my father and teachers. A senior NTA official informed that there are set to prepare NEET UG results today, however, they are not confirming the time. Going by the past trend, the National Testing Agency declares NEET results during the wee hours of the morning. 

The National Medical Commission in its new regulations has proposed a common counselling for admissions to graduate courses at all medical institutions in the country on the basis of the NEET-UG merit list.

Seshadri Iyer from Mumbai’s Borivali is among 28 candidates who scored a perfect 100 percentile in MHTCET 2023. However, he is anxiously awaiting his NEET score card 2023. “I want to pursue medical for higher education,” said Iyer who appeared for MHTCET in the PCB group. Read more

The NEET UG BDS cut-off for candidates belonging to general categories was 50th and for OBC, SC and ST, it was 40th.

Last year, the NEET UG cut-off for the general category aspirants was 715-117

Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC): 116-93.

A total of 20,96,202 candiates registered for NEET UG 2023 exam, out of which 20,87,449 registered for May 7 exam and 8,753 students registered for June 6 exam.

The merit list of the eligible and successful candidates who have opted for 15 per cent of All India Quota seats will be prepared by the NTA on the basis of marks obtained in the NEET (UG) 2023. The list of successful candidates shall be forwarded to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Ministry of AYUSH for the purpose of allotment of seats by Online Counselling to 15 per cent All India Quota Seats.

A senior NTA official has confirmed that the NEET UG result 2023 will be declared before Wednesday. However, they have not decided the time of the result. The answer key challenge window for Manipur students is closed today at 4 pm. Therefore, NEET results can be announced anytime now.

The National Testing Agency has closed the window to raise objections against the provisional answer key released on June 11 for the June 6 exam which was conducted in Manipur and 10 cities outside the state. A total of 8753 students registered for the exam.

A total of 20,87,449 students registered for the NEET UG 2023 conducted on May 7. The exam was conducted at 4097 centres across 499 cities in India and abroad. The provisional answer key for exam held on May 7 was released on June 4.

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has proposed a common counselling for admissions in its new regulations for graduate courses at all medical institutions in the country on the basis of the NEET-UG merit list. In its gazette notification, NMC said "Counselling shall entirely be based on the seat matrix provided by NMC, provided the common counselling may have multiple rounds as may be necessary."

A total of 8753 candidates registered for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2023 in the state of Manipur. The exam was conducted in June 6 at 34 centres located across 11 cities. The cities where the exam was conducted on June 6 are-- Aizawl (Mizoram), Kohima/Dimapur (Nagaland), Shillong (Meghalaya), Guwahati (Assam), Jorhat (Assam), Silchar (Assam), Kolkata (West Bengal), Delhi, Bengaluru (Karnataka) and Imphal (Manipur). 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key for students who appeared for NEET UG 2023 on June 6 in the state of Manipur and 10 other cities. Candidates can raise challenges till 4 pm of June 12. Objections could be raised for Rs 200 per question.

The expected cut-off for various categories are as follows:

For General category-- 710 to 124 as per Saurabh Kumar, Chief Academic Officer of Vidyamandir Classes. And, 716 to120 as per Sarvesh Chaubey, Deputy Regional Director at Aakash BYJU's.

For OBC category-- 130 to 98 as per Saurabh Kumar, Chief Academic Officer of Vidyamandir Classes. And, Sarvesh Chaubey, Deputy Regional Director of Aakash BYJU feels it will be around 119 to 95.

For SC category--  According to Saurabh Kumar, Chief Academic Officer of Vidyamandir Classes it would be around 120 to 95 and as per Sarvesh Chaubey, Deputy Regional Director of Aakash BYJU it will be around 119 to 95.

For ST category-- Saurabh Kumar, Chief Academic Officer of Vidyamandir Classes expects it to be somewhere around 118 to 92. And, as per Sarvesh Chaubey, Deputy Regional Director of Aakash BYJU it will be around 119 to 95.

This year, a total of 20,87,449 candidates registered for NEET UG exam conducted on May 7, out of which NTA recorded 97.7 per cent attendance and the re-exam was conducted for nearly 8,700 candidates.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi is likely to conduct the National Exit Test (NExT), a qualifying test for granting registration to doctors as well as the basis for post-graduate admissions— slated for later this year. The cut-off is calculated on the basis of the difficulty level of NEET 2022 question paper, total number of available seats and the total number of candidates appearing for NEET 2022 exam

The counselling for NEET 15 per cent AIQ seats is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at mcc.nic.in for all government medical and dental colleges, as well as deemed and central universities. It must be noted that candidates from Jammu and Kashmir will not be eligible to participate in the NEET 2022 AIQ counselling 2022. Such candidates should apply through NEET 2022 state quota counselling.

The NEET UG 2023 results (score card), confirmation page and admit card will be available on the website till September 30 of this year. 

The lower age limit to appear for the exam is 17 years and there is no upper age limit or restriction in the number of attempts to appear for the exam.

Upon the announcement of the NEET result, qualified candidates will be able to participate in the centralised counselling, conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for the 15 per cent  All India Quota seats and 85 per cent state quota seats by respective state authorities.  During the counselling process, candidates must register, fill in their course preferences and colleges, and pay the counselling session fee. Aspirants will be allocated seats based on their choices, NEET 2022 rank, available seats, and reservations.

After the NEET UG results, the next crucial step in getting into a desired medical college is through counselling, which is conducted for two quotas; 15 per cent All India Quota and 85 per cent state quota. The counselling for NEET 15 per cent AIQ seats is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at mcc.nic.in for all government medical and dental colleges, as well as deemed and central universities. The counselling for NEET 2022 85 per cent state quota seats will be conducted by the respective state authorities on their websites.

An 18-year-old girl was allowed to reappear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2023 by the Bombay High Court as she couldn’t complete her exam paper for the first time due to a broken wrist. The exam was held again on June 6 in Manipur and 10 cities other than the north-eastern state

The NTA’s role is over once the results are declared. Qualified students will have to undergo counselling after the declaration of results and they will be assigned seats under various quotas. The quotas under which seats are alloted are:

- All India Quota Seats
- State Government Quota Seats
- Central Institutions/Universities/Deemed Universities
- State/Management/NRI Quota Seats in Private Medical / Dental Colleges or any Private University
- Central Pool Quota Seats
- All seats including NRI Quota as well as Management Quota, are in private unaided/aided minority / non-minority medical colleges.
- AIIMS Institutes across India/JIPMER.
- The counselling for successful candidates for seats under 15% All India Quota and 100% including 85% State quota seats of Central Institutions (ABVIMS and RML Hospital/ VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital/ESIC)/ Central Universities (including DU /BHU /AMU) /AIIMS /JIPMER and Deemed Universities, will be conducted by the MCC/ DGHS for Undergraduate Medical / Dental Courses. MCC only does the registration for AFMC and forwards the data of registered Candidates to AFMC authorities for the admission process. ----DU/ BHU and other Universities may use the score for any other relevant courses being offered by them.

The exam was conducted all across the country on May 7, except Manipur. The exam was postponed in the north-eastern state due to the law and order situation. NEET UG 2023 was conducted in Manipur on June 6.

Last year, NTA modified its tie-breaker rule and discontinued age as tie-breaking. That means, if a tie occurs between two students, the NTA will resolve it based on marks obtained in biology. If it persists, a student gaining higher marks in chemistry gets preference followed by the candidate with fewer incorrect answers

In the case of two or more candidates scoring the same scores in NEET UG 2022, the following tie-breaking criteria will be applied.

- Candidates achieving higher marks/percentiles in Biology (Botany and Zoology), followed by
- The candidate with the highest mark/percentile in Chemistry, followed by
- The candidate who achieved the highest marks/percentile score in Physics in the test followed by
- Candidates with fewer incorrect answers than correct answers in all the subjects in the test, followed by
-A candidate with the lowest proportion of incorrect responses to correct responses in Biology (Botany and Zoology) is the winner, followed by
- Candidate with the lowest ratio of incorrect answers to correct answers in Chemistry, followed by
- The candidate with a lesser percentage of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Physics, followed by
- Candidate older in age, followed by
- NEET application number in ascending order
